GOP goes to war with Roy Moore over Sessions' Senate seat
WND ^ | May 20, 2017 | Greg Corombos

Republicans in Washington, D.C., are fiercely lining up behind Sen. Luther Strange in this year’s special election to finish the U.S. Senate term of Attorney General Jeff Sessions, and the nation’s best known state judge says he is ready to battle big GOP dollars in the primary and defend the Constitution in Washington.

Moore finds himself in a crowded field for the GOP nomination. With the filing deadline set for Wednesday, six Republicans are officially in the field. In addition to Judge Moore and Sen. Strange, the most recognizable name is Rep. Mo Brooks, best known for his work in combating illegal immigration.

The national GOP is coming out with guns blazing against Moore and Brooks and is promising an initial down payment of $2.6 million in advertising on behalf of Strange.

Moore finds it a bit odd that the National Republican Senatorial Committee, or NRSC, is all-in for a man appointed to the Senate just three months ago.

“He was appointed by the (former) governor and the law provided that an election should be held forthwith, so treating him as an incumbent isn’t exactly what they should be doing,” said Moore

Are you being a nevertrumper? (Responding in kind)

Mitt and McCain both had problems that Trump does not. Cruz would have been a nice litmus test for the soi-disant conservative simon-pure. But a winner of a national election? That’s another story.

“These Senate races of 2012 were lost because of conservatives who were toxic politically.
Indiana,
Joe Donnelly (Democratic) 50.0%
Richard Mourdock (Republican) 44.2%
Andrew Horning (Libertarian) 5.7% [
Missouri,
Claire McCaskill (Democratic) 54.8%
Todd Akin (Republican) 39.0% [31]
Jonathan Dine (Libertarian) 6.1% “

Perhaps Bernie Sanders lost to Hillary Clinton and/or Hillary Clinton lost to Donald Trump because they were liberals who were toxic politically?

Is this some kind of quibbling to dodge the obvious?

Suppose Moore were everything this side of wonderful. We still would have the casting pearls before swine problem.

Where is your head?

AF throws out personal attacks on conservatives as though being conservative made them lose races. Then you call me a NeverTrumper because I ask AF what was the basis for his attacks and if his reasoning explain similar losses by “conservatives” in similar races.

Get your head out.

My head has eyes looking square at God’s heart.

Looking at the Cross, you should be saying.

You want to be all self-right. But there is such a thing as being dead right. You’re right but you’re dead.

Hi, are you even looking at the right thread for your responses?

My comment in this thread was only to ask someone by what standard did they believe conservatives lost by being “toxic.” You start saying you were responding in kind and calling me a NeverTrumper, then you say you were only doing so because your eyes are set on God?

You are crazed.

I don't think HiTech is responding to the right person on the right thread.

His responses are completely off, which honestly, is not normally like him.

Very weird stuff.

Me too.

I was thinking the same thing. The responses don’t match the subject or our comments.
