Hmmm, that was from Ephesians 5:22-33. It's part of the Bible.
"If you want to know how to fix this country, study the ways of women."
Ahhh, like Hillary" Eleanor Roosevelt? Margie Sanger?
They can’t jump.
...they become one flesh...
Mark 10:8
Genesis 2:24
Okay. Did they ever share a pot of beans around the fire at the end of a long day?
I'm aware of what you were referring to. Nevertheless, it provides no procedure, no definitions, and used as a rejoinder this context perfectly fits the definition of "platitudinous."
Or did you think citing Scripture confers some kind of immunity from such "mishandling of the Word?"
Ahhh, like Hillary" Eleanor Roosevelt? Margie Sanger?
I would suggest you start with women you know, rather than women you "hear about."
The standby should be "test ALL things, hold fast that which is good," with the provisos of not just testing what you question, and not forgetting what you found that was bad.
One reason my husband and I get along so well is that he sees me as his wife not his mother.
But then he is a man not a little boy.
The men want a mommy and don’t want to be the leader of a family
Yes......’it's a Daisy’. only find flaw with the shotgunning of one poor soul that was launched across an alley by the blast. This bit of Pekinpawian special effects is fake but fun to watch. I love Pekinpaw’s movies especially the Wild Bunch.
But let's face it. Even a 10 gauge won't launch a human across an 8 foot alley.
Men have mothers. They don’t need to have two.
That being said, what is the distinction you draw between wife and mother?
Pray tell, what does wanting a mommy look like?
You would think that but sadly it is not so.
That being said, what is the distinction you draw between wife and mother?
You wife is your partner in life. When there is trouble you face it together.
Your mother has to tell you what to do and take care of you because you are not capable of doing for yourself.
If you are not clear on the difference, please do not get married.
I used to think Val Kilmer got robbed of a best supporting actor award for his Doc Holiday role until I looked it up and the person who won it that year was Tommy Lee Jones in the Fugitive.
Tough call.
Little late for that teddy. Our thirtieth anniversary is in two months. How about you?
Aside from that I see nothing in your response beside vanity. For you to even presume to tell a man what a man is is vanity.
Tell me, does “facing life together” include a rational division of labor for the household while things YOU want done, the way you WANT them done are done by yourself without his coerced assistance?
BTW...any woman who accuses a man of wanting a “mommy to tell him what to do” when said man lived on his own prior to getting married is on the same level as Maxine Waters.
Not to mention Costner's fanning scene with a 9 shot SAA. It did convey the messiness of old west gunfights though.
I read the 9 shot fan was the result of poor editing. Funny how editing or lack of it is always Costner’s undoing. The man somehow gets to put out the director’s cuts.
The men want the mommy to provide an income, cook, clean and let them play video games, ride their motorcycles, grow pot in the garage and not nag them to get a job.
THIS may explain it...

So, did you even read Colonel West's essay?
My comments were in agreement with his point - feel free to debate him.
I stand on first-hand experience in family, prison, and pro-life ministries. These are things I know - not just things I hear about.
America has a problem with men who never grew up - Colonel West knows it, I know it. Denial doesn't make it go away.
