Go Ahead And Cheer The Fraud (Healthcare Bill)

Go Ahead And Cheer The Fraud

The lies are ridiculous.

"Obamacare" has not been repealed, nor replaced.

Deductibles and premiums will not come down, because exactly nothing has been done to address the underlying cost of medical care, and that is, of course, what drives the cost of "health insurance."

It also probably won't pass the Senate, so that The House has done so is immaterial.

But heh, go ahead and take a victory lap Mr. Trump for something that hasn't passed the Senate yet, and by the way, may I remind you that the Executive, which you head, can cut the cost of medical care by 80% or more in an afternoon.

You simply need to enforce the law, 15 USC specifically, which is your ******ned job and which you took an oath to do -- and have, since your inauguration, serially and intentionally violated every single day since.

There is not one place in this country where a gas station that refused to tell you how much the gas cost until after you pumped it and disclosed who you had your car insurance through, then charged a price that was 1,000% or more different between different people based on their insurance company and the make and model of the car would be in business for more than 30 minutes. If any material percentage of gas stations in a town or region (that's known as "market power") got together and decided to do this sort of thing in concert they would all be under arrest and indicted for conspiring to restrain trade, fix prices and force tied sales, all of which are illegal under laws that have stood for more than 100 years.

You and the rest of the profane thieves in Washington DC, along with the State Houses of this nation, are thugs and co-conspirators with those who financially******this nation's people on a daily basis.

You deserve spit on your shoes and the middle finger in your face.

So go ahead and make speeches in front of the microphone. I know good and damn well why you won't enforce the law -- if you did the economy would correct in the short term by 15%. Yes, it would rapidly be reallocated to other places but until it did, which would take anywhere from a few months to a couple of years, the GDP decline would be real and none of you crooks can have that -- can you?

Well, enjoy the cheering Mr. President, because the math says that in 4 years you're going to try to blow another $600 billion a year on Medicare and Medicaid because you won't collapse the cost of the medical scams, and that amount will be going up every single year at an exponential rate. The next year it'll be close to $800 billion, and so on. You know damn well you can't finance that and you're not going to get out of office before it blows up in your face, unlike Obama was able to.

“concern trolls” my azz. What B S. Everyone should be concerned about all this.

“concern trolls” doesn’t mean lack of support for the President.

Yup. Near as I can tell all this does is get the albatross off the Democrats neck, and now the GOP will own all of the vitriol coming from everything that goes wrong with healthcare. Brilliant.

He was hardly a huge pro-Obama supporter. He did vote for Obama to speed up the decline in 2008, but that is hardly huge pro Obama. Yes, he is a perma bear but he was right in 2008-2009 and he is right on healthcare. Healthcare costs in the US have been going up 8-10% annually since 1960.

Post of the day. So many disgruntled freepers who can’t accept that some things take more time than hoped for. FGS stop sounding like liberals.

Actually he is exactly right and you are arguing a straw man. If I want a repair on a car or my house, I can get written quotes from dozens of people in a couple of hours. Want a quote for a hip replacement or MRI? Not possible. Pricing transparency is one of, if not the, the key reasons why capitalism works.

Why are stupid people allowed to write articles? Is this country to be governed by extremes on the left or the right? Is this a country of diverse people or a country of purists on either side?

I still don’t understand why a person cannot buy let’s say $10K worth of insurance for some number, let’s say $143 a month = $1716 a year. There is a $2500 deductible within any year. The insurance can be applied to any damned procedure you want or need, including dentistry. Routine visits have to be paid out of pocket.

As for pre-existing conditions, that can’t be called insurance. Every no-pre insured could be asked to pay $20 a month ($240/year) for the pre-existing fund and I think most would go along with that. But regular insureds are being asked to pay enormous deductibles and mortgage-level monthly payments and it has warped the whole system.

What do you think insurance companies withdrawing from state exchanges results in? In time, single payer. In some places, I believe it’s essentially that now.

This bill will help make things better for the insurance companies and the public.

It will cause an influx of insurance providers.

That’s the exact opposite of moving to single payer.

“I will vote for Senator Obama tomorrow and strongly urge you vote for him too” or some such

Karl “The Weasel” Denninger

And if you bring that up on his blog he will immediately ban you.

It’s anti-trust law.

It’s been the law of the land since the great depression.

And saying you can’t price the product differently to different customers without a cost justification, is not the same as government setting prices.

Problem is Georgia Girl that people (including people on this site) feel that they are ENTITLED to be covered for pre exsisting conditions AND not have to pay more!!! MANY conservatives are SCREAMING to do away with this bill HOWEVER don’t seem to mind the government HAVING TO PAY with subsidies for their pre exsisting conditions!! OBAMMIE opened Pandoras Box and NOW we can’t close it!!! I have read a lot of comments from conservatives on this site that have STUNNED me and because of this WE WILL NEVER be rid of OCARE entirely!!! People want it GONE but NOT REALLY if it affects THEM in ANY WAY!!!!!

Ahh, the fragrance of #NeverTrump bitterness is in the air.

How excellent for the President to achieve this legislative victory—a baby step in the right direction on health care—the beginning of a long process, but one which will ultimately be a big WIN for both the President and the American People.

To see Trump Derangement Syndrome bitterly manifesting itself is quite shameful.

People will continue to underestimate this President's passion, skill, and will to win on health care. Mark my words. President Trump doesn't do "window-dressing"; he works towards pragmatic, positive solutions which will help make America great again...

Or do you actually think it’s a good thing that large insurance companies enter contracts with providers that force the provider to charge uninsured people 4 times what they charge the insurance company?

Because that’s exactly what those 70% off standard price contracts do. They force the provider to create a huge price differential where you are screwed if you didn’t sign up with the big insurance company.

yes, to speed up the decline and McCain was terrible. You can’t take one half a sentence out of context and negate everything he says afterwards. He is very heavy with the ban hammer in general. It’s the only thing I don’t like, but he is right significantly more often than wrong and he’s dead right about healthcare on the probably 100x+ he’s posted about it.

Karl isn’t part of the TDS squad. He thinks all of Washington, including Trump, McCain, Pelosi, are the problem.

Remember when you could watch a Sunday morning news show or a football game and not see 10 minutes worth of ads for the latest cure all drugs every hour? I miss those days. Just sit back and marvel at the names they are coming up with for these drugs. We’ve really let the cat out of the bag on all things health care related.

Wouldn’t that be the same as saying that all 1200 square foot apartments must charge the same rent everywhere, be it in San Francisco, New York, or BFE, Alabama?

MANY changes will completely end the Obamacare disaster....groups getting together to insure low premiums...G.M. workers pay low premiums because there are millions of them....an independent group can do the same....teachers unions have low rates, cover pre-existing conditions, because they, as a group, negotiate terms and conditions....individual GROUPS will be able to do the same.
