Spicer leaves White House briefing without taking question

White House press secretary Sean Spicer stunned reporters on Tuesday by leaving his daily press briefing without taking questions.

Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly and White House budget director Mick Mulvaney spent nearly 40 minutes speaking to the media about the bipartisan budget agreement as Spicer looked on from seats designated for staff near the briefing room podium. When they finished, Spicer left the room with them, prompting cries of “Sean” from the reporters inside the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room. Administration officials routinely attend White House press briefings to speak to reporters about policy topics, but it’s unusual for the press secretary to not take questions afterward.

Reporters had questions on several other topics aside from the spending bill, including Trump's scheduled Tuesday phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin

Would they have preferred “No further comment”?

I’m sure he knew what was coming and invoked the first rule of holes - stop digging.

May not be usual...but it obviously happens and has happened many, many times before. I think Obama was especially a “no questions” guy....cuz the questions weren’t about him!!

The left better start an investigation into this matter- I’m sure the Russians are involved in Spicer’s refusal to take questions somehow- This could be series!

It’s not unusual. It’s just that the media is always looking for ways to poopoo the Trump admin. Those aren’t real tears.

We had to watch it again! Mick Mulvaney was simply awesome! Sean was very smart to just walk out! How could he have topped that performance?

I’ve seen Spicer not take questions when there were guests. That’s not new.

I like the idea of “stunned reporters”.

Would be best if the “stuns” were administered by something like an electric chair.

I don’t see Spicer lasting much longer in this job. It just isn’t for him.

Only one who could pull this off is Max Headroom.

Here’s an idea.... why don’t you perverted, evil, lying, “stunned” scumbags submit your questions to Spicer in advance, like you did with the jug-eared moron for the last eight years.

Having to deal with the corrupt media must be very frustrating. I don't think he's tough enough on them. I'd start each day with a handful of antidotes on their bias.

Big Media would enjoy the flyswatter spanking.

I think he does a good job for what he has to deal with. There is a story in politico today quoting a Senior Aide.

No doubt that story has caused some concern. trump probably trying to find out who said it.
