I don’t think I would go that far.

President Trump, unlike many before him, had the stones to gather around him a first-rate national defense team.

I think he has the smarts and the guts to allow them to do what it takes.

Domestic policy is another question. All these yapping bastards, and whining Rinos, and squishy family members-—President Trump likes to be liked, and I’m not sure he’s hearing or listening to the tough message that needs to get through.

All I know, mostly from witnessing President Reagan, is that the Prez sets the tone and the direction, or he is lost.

Like it or not the battle is now, we only get weaker by giving the rats an uncontested victory. We elected Trump to fight the establishment not give in to them. Maybe he won’t win. I would not hold that against him but to give in without even trying? Unacceptable.

And Bingo was his nameo! You have the eigenpoint

This all convinces me...yet again, this gubbamint is out of control. We hear NOTHING of cutting spending, cutting the size and scope other than Trump's reductions in the executive arena.

Congress sux. Period.

What fight?

Who’d be in his corner for that battle? We’re going to have 4 months of a resurgence of occupy Wall Street plus whatever rioting the liberals can drum up both racially and economically based.

Push the battle 4 months further down the election process? Give the opposition 4 months to drum up their support and organize opposition?

The threat of a shutdown is empty. Congress will override any veto. And he concedes every bit of leverage he had in negotiations.

That said, setting up the liberals into the best battlefield position, taking a weak down slope position with little in the way of resources, Trump pulls that off, then I’ll absolutely concede that he is the most masterful negotiator and politician we’ve seen in a generation.

But really, that’s looking at a massive mountain of crap and saying that with hard work, it could be fertilizer. It could have been avoided and prevented.

Either he gets rid of Jared, Ivanka, Priebus and their uniparty pals as WH staffers, and he goes over Ryan’s head to the public to deliver on what he promised—or his presidency is over.

Yawn. Same ol' doom and gloom from you. Always indulging your Trump-bashing impulses with shortsighted second-guessing.

Sorry FRiend, we just won a SC justice fight. There’s more fights ahead then an inherited temporary funding bill.

The fight with the September budget is already announced. See the President’s twitter mocking the opposition. The fight is going to be epic.

With or without you of course.

I didn’t find that pedantic at all, but a fair argument. You win baseball by racking up runs with walks, singles, triples and the occasional home run, not by hitting a 10-run grand slam on every at-bat.

On the other side of the equation, there is the “ratchet effect”. Every step taken in retreat is territory that the Dems (not the cowardly Republicans) never give back. Trump will have to mount an extremely powerful assault to push them back and I don’t know how he does that with the Republicans showing every day that they are part of the Uniparty. Not only are they unhelpful; they are helping the enemy.

HL can out-hang me. Not a clue as to inst. to even attempt; nor time to learn at the moment. One day, it may gel. LOL when hell freezes over.

How is a temporary spending bill to keep government afloat to September the end of everything, or as you call it “capitulation?

He will lose his support base, then its prevent defense till 2018 I'm never voting for another republican after this.

What he can do is veto this.

Its not all or nothing - this is the accumulation of years of get shat upon Trump came along and said no more. Once elected Congress has sat on the porcelain and I'm hearing Trump say procedure after the people said no more.

They are taking it all and you will have nothing. This CR is crap - in fact all CRs are crap - The whole notion is bogus.

Pass a budget - , creating non-discretionary programs that are off limits, making it up as they go along, printing more money, allowing jihadis in while simultaneously bankrupting our grandchildrens so they won't have the resource to defend themselves. Why should we live by the rules they pass when they don't follow their own rules - oh yeah the guns and the power.

This was never about Trump this was about saving America - CR are an affront to any sort of sane government. This is the exact same crap we had before. But piss on me and tell me its raining

“But we have a press whose bias borders on psychotic; they would rather die of aneurysms than give Trump anything approaching fairness.”

May their wish come true.

Despite the usual “Trump is done for this time” whiners, the fact is Trump has billions to play with in this budget. People seem to forget his admin has been cutting back on all the liberal agenda departments - who just got full funding anyway.

You really Think Obama was better than Trump at moving inter-department funds around for pet projects? Trump has a finance degree and some of the best finance finaglers in America in his admin.

By the time 18 rolls around hopefully, many illegals will have fled. the activist courts will be restrained by the new USSC and Sessions will be busy at stopping vote fraud in RINO as well as Dem areas, as per the laws Obama put in place.

Obama is a straight on thug (oh no I used thug) as it turns out extortion can augment the lack of skills in a particular domain. Mafia moron extorts financial wizard sort of thing. Obama had no qualms about using the IRS the Intelligence Agencies ad nausea.

Obama is/was very good at the passive aggressive wink and nod thing.

I agree with everything you said. Having said that, you have to admit Ryan’s CR budget is an insult to the American people. No?

No we didn’t, but President Trump’s budget doesn’t get on the floor until Sept...

Read the rules and order of business and you’ll find out the budget goes from Sept. to Sept.

President Trump is going to lose his core support and the republicans will lose in 2018 and he will be impeached

Yup. These are stone faced gangsters. If he thinks that making nice with them now will buy him some good favor in the fall he's insane. They WILL NOT stop until they roll him and his Oh-So-Pretty girls off the cliff.

There are still a lot of ways out of this. He needs to single out big points - the Wall being primary - and DEMAND that. Non Negotiable points, or else the shutdown happens.

Either that, or look forward to that ignominious helicopter ride from the White House after making the pathetic apology speech for some nebulous charge of wrongdoing, pushed by the Maoist gangbangers.
