One knee injury away from poverty and this is how they spend their money.

Two words. Joe Theismann.

Hope he’s not one of those people who sit on his feet.

Mission accomplished I suppose, ha. Got me to post about a man wearing fruity spikey shoes anyhow.

Only a moron would wear shoes like that.

Hoping Deshawn makes us Clemson fans proud.

He'll be playing for the Texans, who if they weren't in the worst division in the NFL would be the cellar dwellers of any other division. They lucked out last year in the playoffs playing Oakland whose quarterback was injured and unable to play.

I am not a Houston fan, and before yesterday had never heard of the kid, but I read a story about him and ... quite frankly, I am willing to cut him some slack on the shoes. He had a pretty tough life growing up and this is his first real taste of money. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/early-lead/wp/2017/04/28/deshaun-watson-went-no-12-in-the-nfl-draft-heres-why-thats-pretty-amazing/?utm_term=.ad0a5f913d1c

Actually I don't think so. He's a Christian and has a reputation for being very grounded.

Dreaming bigger: Heisman finalist Deshaun Watson has come a long way (tr)

My son and I met his dad last week at a restaurant and from our conversation I think that the young man will be just fine.

Anybody that would spend $2,000 on a pair of shoes like that is not OK....it says a lot about his judgement.

“Hoping Deshawn makes us Clemson fans proud.”

I think he will, both on and off the field.

Wonder if he’ll be better than Dak Prescott through his first 16 games.

From the article:

Watson told reporters that he had always wanted a pair of Louboutins and thought draft day was the perfect occasion to buy himself a pair.

Sounds to me as though they are his, purchased with his money. 8>)
