A professor at the University of Arizona who conducts research on science education is arguing that students should be taught “queer theory” in elementary school.

Kristin Gunckel, a professor at the University of Arizona, argued on behalf of introducing “queer theory” into American elementary school curriculum in a recent lecture that took place last month.

It's the 50+% of "straights" who either don't give a flip, or who identify as "allies."

But most "straights" aren't that straight. They've given up on natural sex, too. E.g., and this is a big one, contraception. If there's no essential link between sex and procreative potential, then there's no compelling reason why gay jiggery-pokery isn't as "normative" as the honorable act of marriage.

Where is the science in “Queer Theory?” Do we teach little children ANY “theory?” I thought in elementary school it was reading, writing, and math. Used to be they taught the true scientific method (how to discover actual TRUTHS about the world), and they also USED TO teach civics, how the Constitution ACTUALLY works. Anything else they can get on their own anyway.

What s the queer theory, anyway? That a small percentage of mammals don’t adhere to sexual norms?? Kind of dumb and small minded to be a subject, isn’t it?

HLPhat, you do not understand the worldview underlying and fueling the above complaint. It is a religiously Gnostic pagan worldview which holds physical matter (i.e., the human body and this world in general) as the source of evil and suffering. In "Adversus nationes" (2.37) the Gnostic pagan Arnobius gives voice to this very complaint,
