ANKARA (Reuters) - Turkey has issued detention warrants for 3,224 people over suspected links to U.S.-based cleric Fethullah Gulen, news channels NTV and CNN Turk reported on Wednesday, in one of the largest operations in months against the network which Turkey blames for a failed July coup.

More than 1,000 of those had already been detained, NTV said. Turkey's interior minister said earlier that the operation targeted the network's structure in the police force.

Just when you felt it was safe to come out in daylight, Turks are hit with another round of arrests.

How long and how far can it go?

There are consequences to such insanity. Eventually.

This is all so damned depressing. I have fond memories of Istanbul, not as a tourist spot but as where I lived as a boy. Back then Americans maybe didn’t walk on water but is was close.

Yes. I believe you are correct.

I was more specific in my speculation.

I think it was a fau coup. That Brennan acted as the latest Teoman Koman and even supplied the arrest warrant list from the vacuum cleaner database.

It that wild enough?

We have our own skeletons and serious corruption problems. Not yet like in the Middle East. But real impediment to having a dynamic strong nation.

Ataturk was smart. And ruthless.

He was not backward focused. He still has followers. They are better than the Islamists who want to live in a past that was never that good and certainly never like it is remembered.

He moved Turkey far forward of when he took over. But when he was gone? Where did the momentum go? He was very non conventional. In all aspects. And it was a mistake to try to question what he wanted.

Erdogan is the opposite image, like a negative. He wants to reside in a past that never actually existed. Sure prescription for a trainwreck.

Nothing to see here, just a dictator consolidating his grip.

Have you read about his palace?

He thinks he is more than a simple dictator. I don’t see what makes him think that, but he is convinced he is really smart and deserves to rule the world.

“It’s the Ottoman Spring.”

Only in Erdogan’s mind. It is as stupid and stillborn as Obozo’s Arab Spring.

Oh, yes. Erdogan “imagines” himself rebuilding an empire that was an illusion in the beginning.

This is why Globalist Leftist are drawn to this. They believe that their cause is soo goood, and their motives are beyond anyone else and their vision is so beyond anything in the past that they must destroy the entire system that has evolved over eons and rebuild their beautiful world from scratch. And anyone who opposes their vision must be killed.

Yep, same mindset.

We witness the convergence of the Godless Left, Global Fascists and Islamists against the Christians, Jews and Freedom Lovers. Each of the 1st 3 believe they will win over the other 2 and rule the world. In the end, none will, but God will prevail.
