An artificial womb successfully grew baby sheep — and humans could be next

Inside what look like oversized ziplock bags strewn with tubes of blood and fluid, eight fetal lambs continued to develop — much like they would have inside their mothers. Over four weeks, their lungs and brains grew, they sprouted wool, opened their eyes, wriggled around, and learned to swallow, according to a new study that takes the first step toward an artificial womb. One day, this device could help to bring premature human babies to term outside the uterus — but right now, it has only been tested on sheep.

It’s appealing to imagine a world where artificial wombs grow babies, eliminating the health risk of pregnancy. But it’s important not to get ahead of the data, says Alan Flake, fetal surgeon at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and lead author of today’s study. “It’s complete science fiction to think that you can take an embryo and get it through the early developmental process and put it on our machine without the mother being the critical element there,” he says.

Instead, the point of developing an external womb — which his team calls the Biobag — is to give infants born months too early a more natural, uterus-like environment to continue developing in, Flake says.

Should young pregnant women with no means off support carry their kids to term this way?

Yep.
Babies will now be “decanted”, not born.

Yes. In more ways than one.

Another science project with a rejection of females (and, therefore, The Almighty) at its foundation, and another hugh glob of money wasted that could have been used to find a cure for the top 4 causes of death.

This particular set up can’t be used early in pregnancy, and the technology will be so expensive that it isn’t likely to be available electively.

It could save babies now lost to early preeclampsia or very premature labor. OTOH, as they say in the article, better to prevent those conditions in the first place.

Heart disease.
Cancer.
COPD.
Accidents.

Don’t smoke. Don’t overeat. Be careful.

Don’t get old.

We can’t cure death. Although some people, who generally do reject the Almighty, have ambitions to do so.

Who knows where people might take this technology in the future? Right now, it is proposed as a rescue for premature babies. I would gladly have transferred over the baby I lost at 20 weeks, and thanked God, as I thank God that we have developed clean drinking water and antibiotics.

I suspect that initially the artificial womb wouldn’t even be used to push back the survival window of prematurity, but to increase survival and prevent morbidity among the earliest preemies now cared for in the NICU.

It would probably be far gentler on the babies - the only connection would be the umbilicus. No intubation or ventilators, no feeding tubes, no intravenous access, nothing touching tissue-thin skin. Maybe no strokes, no blindness, no necrotic bowel, no stiff and undergrown lungs, no sudden fatal sepsis.

I remember an interview with Barbara Bush, who lost a daughter, Pauline, to leukemia in the fifties. She was only three years old. The family pediatrician advised them that the kindest thing to do would be to take the child home and love her, but how could they do that? They had to fight for her, and her death was prolonged and painful, and Mrs. Bush said she wished they’d taken the doctor’s advice. But now the survival rate for childhood leukemia is over 90%, and that advance was purchased on the cutting edge, in the suffering of little children like Pauline.

That is the goal-—to destroy concept of mother and father and destroy all logic and reason and biological connections of children so they will be totally controlled (maybe chipped, even) so all their emotions, desires, etc. is totally controlled by the psychopathic sodomites.

For “happy” slavery (volunteer slavery), the Leftists have to destroy free will and individualism (the Natural Family) so that warped, artificial environments are “Normal” and “Good”.....which will be the total dehumanization of man—or the transhumanism predicted a hundred years ago by Julian Huxley.

Normalizing sodomite “marriage’ is the gateway to buying and selling human babies-—which was already being done since the billion dollar business of the international corporations/UN, UNESCO is trafficking children for sex and organs and Satanic rituals for Ba’al Rites.

It is all planned —ALL OF IT—over 200 years ago to dehumanize children—remove the mother from the home who is the nurturing (humanizing) aspect to children so they can have empathy and trust, etc. They made their Ba’al Rites of killing babies “normal” already, as they did to other vices, like sodomy, which creates slaves for life and the Leftists made women leave their children to strangers to raise and shape and learn to hate and marginalize males to destroy the family.

Get the minds of your children OUT of their brainwashing/warping “system” so they aren’t destroyed-—because they WILL be if you allow the culture/skools to use their psychology on their little minds. They will destroy reason and free will—embed dependency and idiocy-—like they did with the snowflakes.

Of course not. But I think appealing to women on an emotional level to garner approval is just wrong.

To get to the uncomfortable, how does one ‘expect’ a premie, (which the article assumes) and how does one remove that premie from the mother's body, sac and all (it can't breathe any air, right?), without permanently traumatizing the mother's body? Seems a little more involved than a C-section.

What are the physiological, neurological and psychological effects on the child who's hooked up to tubes in a solution without the mother's hormones, “taste”, body resistance, heartbeat, normal movement and sounds?

Studies have shown that premies who do survive birth and are transferred to incubators for weeks or months, almost 30% display disorganized bonding, even tho the parent is completely bonded. Disorganized bonding is a symptom of abused infants, so what is going on with premies that causes this same disorganized bonding? The simplest answer seems to be detachment from the mother's body negatively affects neurological development that can last well into the teens.

A pregnant mother, of course, is willing to accept the challenge - she's going to want to save her baby and all measures should be taken to do that. I have nothing but the warmest compassion for those mothers because their path will not be an easy one in some cases.

But the article puts forth two concepts, one, that a child begin it's life in a bag so parents can 'make the decision' whether to allow growth to full term, and second, the concept that normal, healthy, bonding babies can be grown without the 'inconvenience of pregnancy'. Assisting premies seems almost an afterthought - oh yeah, we better mention this. One is just downright scary - I don't think The Almighty wants us shopping for babies like picking goldfish out at Walmart - get the biggest one - get the goldest one, get the one with the big spot on its tail, etc. And the other, 'convenience', is a fairytale that fails to account that humans are not sheep or cows or fish destined for the slaughterhouse in a year or two. Humans are very complex creatures as is the interaction on so many different levels between an unborn child and the mother.

So “The Matrix” was correct.

Kinda. Humans were grown like a crop simply for the electricity they produced to power the matrix and the computer that created it and all the robots.

I have a feeling the way Kryptonians were born to serve a particular purpose in their society is closer to where we are headed. In the movie "Man of Steel" where he battles General Zod the baby pods are explained and how they are all pre-chosen to fill a certain job and only that job which is why General Zod was so single-minded in resurrecting Krypton at the expense of humans and earth as we know it. He had no compassion, no thought process at all that would allow him to see what he was doing was wrong because he was programmed at a cellular level to protect and continue the Kryptonian empire and only that empire. No one else even registered as being anything more than a nuisance.

My point is if we continue on this path we will take the randomness out of humans and make them as perfect as possible just like we do with any crop or breeding stock. At some point the humanity will be bred out of them for the sake of efficiency if our minds haven't already been transferred to some kind of android/robot first in order to live forever and not need food like we do now.

Want something, oh, sex for instance? They will have an app for that. Pick whomever you want and instantly in the span of seconds you will think you just had the best night of your life with the most amazing partner ever. You can do it on your coffee break and no one would know. They might question that silly grin though. Think that's crazy? What's crazy is the stuff we can't even imagine yet.
