Yakima's latest homicide victim: a 14-year-old boy

YAKIMA, Wash. -- A red cap, a soda cup and numerous shell casings.  That’s about all that was left on the sidewalk and the street after a 14-year-old boy was gunned down in Yakima’s most recent homicide late Monday morning.

The boy, whose name was not released pending notification of relatives, was killed in a drive-by shooting near the intersection of Cornell Avenue and West King Street, described by residents as a neighborhood largely made up of families and older couples.

Hours later and a half-mile away, parents expressed concerns about the safety of Yakima as they waited for their children to be released from Hoover Elementary School. The school was locked down because police officers a block away had surrounded a Viola Avenue home where someone had spotted a vehicle believed to be tied to the homicide investigation

Ana Rodriguez, the parent of a 4-year-old student at Hoover, said it wasn’t the first time she had arrived at the school to find it locked down because of police activity.

“Who would kill a 14-year-old? It’s scary,” she said while holding her 6-month-old son and tending her 4-year-old boy.

A police spokesman said investigators were treating the incident as gang-related until further information develops.

Sanctuary city. Very hard to feel sympathy for citizens who allow that.

I’m in one, BTW. Let the mayor and city council know what I think, but it’s a blue area. Dumb bastards will turn it into a third world hellhole unless Trump saves them from themselves.

“A red cap, a soda cup and numerous shell casings.”

I would bet that the shooter was wearing a lot of blue.

We we were awarded jackets one day at work for meeting a safety goal, two colors black or red, everyone picked red except a mexican friend of mine getting his citizenship the right way.

I asked him why he picked black,he told me I'll get shot if I wear red.

Sometimes, the citizens have little choice. Using the weight and wealth of the government, Obama's "Welcoming Communities" program seeded many remote places with ill-fitting imports who would not otherwise have settled there.

And, it's not just Obama. Prior presidents have filled Minneapolis and parts of Maine with ungrateful and unassimilable Somalians.

According to the Census Bureau, Yakima County was 48.3% Hispanic in 2015.

I looked up the gangs in Yakima. As others have posted, the Mexican/Latino gangs seem to have a greater presence there now than the black gangs (Crips and Bloods). But still gang bangers.

I do wonder about some of the white suburban kids that wear the gang stuff thinking it is cool. Although you don’t hear much about violence on them. I guess the real gang-bangers are smart enough not to worry about them.

Of all the Presidents since the last amnesty, Bill Clinton was the only one who even half-way tried to enforce the laws.
And it was about half-way.
The two Bushes did not even do that much.

Google "Yakima gangs" and it returns this handy map of gang territory in Yakima. Crazy!

Here are the gangs that show up on that map:

About the Nortenos - from Wikipedia:

The Norteños (Spanish: [noɾˈteɲos] meaning Northerners)‍—‌Norteñas for females, are the various, loosely affiliated street gangs that pay tribute to the Nuestra Familia while in US Federal and State correctional facilities.[4] Norteños may refer to Northern California as Norte. Their biggest rivals are the Sureños from Southern California.[5][6] The statewide north-south dividing line between Norteños and Sureños has roughly been accepted as the rural communities of Delano and Bakersfield, California.[6][7] The gang's membership primarily consists of Mexican Americans, but has members of other Latino American groups (in most cases Salvadorians) and some African American and very few Caucasian members.

Norteños use the number 14 which represents the fourteenth letter of the English alphabet, the letter N, in order to pay allegiance to Nuestra Familia.[11][12] It is sometimes written in Roman numerals as XIV, or a hybrid of Roman and Arabic numerals, X4. Norteño emblems and clothing are based on the color red, and sometimes black.[11] A typical Norteño outfit is being "flamed up" including a red belt, red shoes, and red shoelaces.[11] They will also favor sports team apparel that shows their affiliation through symbolism such as the Nebraska Cornhuskers, UNLV Rebels and San Francisco 49ers.[11] Some Norteños will tattoo themselves with four dots.[13] A Norteño derogatorily refers to a Sureño as a "scrap" (Hispanicized scrapa) or "Sur rat" (sewer rat). Norteños also lay claim to images of the Mexican-American labor movement, such as the sombrero, machete, and the logo of the United Farm Workers which is a stylized black Aztec eagle ("Huelga bird").

And a little bit about their rivals, the Surenos:

Sureños, Sur 13, or Sureños X3 are groups of loosely affiliated gangs[12] that pay tribute to the Mexican Mafia while in U.S. state and federal correctional facilities. Many Sureño gangs have rivalries with one another and the only time this rivalry is set aside is when they enter the prison system.[4][8][13] Thus, fighting is common among different Sureño gangs even though they share the same common identity. Sureños have emerged as a national gang in the United States.[5]

The Sureños' main stronghold is in Southern California. They have heavy presence in California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. They have a small presence in the Midwest, specifically in Chicago. They have spread as far east as North Carolina.[14] Sureños have been documented in the U.S. military, found in both U.S. and overseas bases.[15] They also can be found in some parts of Mexico. Sureños also maintain relationships with various Drug Trafficking Organizations (DTO) based in Mexico.[4][5][8] They have been confirmed in 35 different states in the U.S.[3] They are with the Gulf Cartel.

While "sur" is the Spanish word for south, among Sureños SUR also stands for Southern United Raza.[20] Sureños use the number 13 which represents the thirteenth letter of the alphabet, the letter M, in order to pay allegiance to the Mexican Mafia.[3][4][21] Common Sureño gang markings and tattoos include, but are not limited to: Sur, XIII, X3, 13, Sur13, uno tres, trece and 3-dots.[21] Although there are many tattoos used by Sureños, there is only one tattoo that proves or validates membership. The word Sureño or Sureña must be earned.[4] Most Sureños are of Mexican descent, but some Sureño gangs allow members from various other ethnic backgrounds to join their ranks making Sureños multiethnic.[4] They also favor blue or grey sport clothing, such as Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Rams and sometimes Los Angeles Lakers. Upstate Sureños however wear Dallas Cowboys, Los Angeles Clippers and Oakland Raiders[citation needed]

When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best. They're not sending you. They're not sending you. They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems with us. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.- Donald J.Trump, Announcement of Candidacy for President, 6/16/2015

Yakima is becoming a 3rd world cesspool.
Our Mayor just got busted for drunk driving(blew 2X the max) and causing an injury accident The police tried to cover it up, but the word got out and the Washington State Patrol is running the investigation.
A sanctuary city is a cartel city.

My kids went on church youth mission groups in various places - Indian Reservations, Yakima, Los Angelos, Mexico and elsewhere. Yakima and L.A. were the ones I worried about the most. “And whatever you do - don’t make those stupid made up hand gestures when you’re taking pictures!”

The kids agreed that while Yakima had great Mexican food, that was where they saw the most depressed areas and obvious gang-bangers.

Since you’re living in one the way to fight it is demand a detailed cost analysis of what sanctuary city is costing. Get to know and talk up what it’s costing as well as demand those answers from your politicians. Many of those sanctuary city’s are riddled with bad streets because they’re diverting their gas pump taxes to fund benefits which are going to illegals. When they circulate their 2018 petitions pass the word out that you’re not signing their license renewals to steal.

The Ag work brings the Hispanics in and soon after comes the gangs. I lived in the northwest part of the state and remember the year the Mexicans gangs found out about guns. Opposing gangs started shooting at each other at the local fair. Then a couple of the opposing members got in a gun battle at a local peanut butter plant. Nothing helps your street feed more than pulling a shift making peanut butter.

They are a scourge, both on the country and their own people.

"A sanctuary city is a cartel city."

I never thought of it that way.... But when one gives it a little consideration it becomes quite obvious that the loyalties of these so called leaders of the sanctuary cities do in fact lie elsewhere....

No doubt the power and the money of the drug cartels would be over bearing... Especially when they threaten your family.. Take the gold, or take the lead....
