After being slammed into the food truck, five officers allegedly surrounded Yearwood then detained him. Once he was identified as a member of the clergy and a VIP at the march, the officers ran his identification for outstanding warrants and did not find anything. Yearwood was then allegedly released without being placed under arrest.

Yearwood claims that of an entire crowd of white people surrounding him, only one woman with dyed pink hair offered to help after he was released. He wrote that his experience was representative of how the environmental movement ignores the concerns of African-Americans.
The crowd didnt really do anything, Yearwood told The New Republic. I saw how quickly they were to accept there was a person of color being detained.

Whatever it was about, it was not science as we know it.
He’s just another race hustler like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton.

Always blaming their problems on Whitey.
Another victim who thinks every white person is his personal villain. Here’s my message to you: you’re not my obligation or responsibility, especially if you’re going to use me every chance you get to proclaim your victimhood at my expense.
Not buying it. People don’t get detained by five cops for doing nothing other than walking across the street.
So five cops just saw a black guy and decided to slam him into a truck and detain him. He wasn't doin' nuffin'. Right.
Rev. Jesse, Rev. Al, Iman Louis ain’t gonna be around fo’evah.
Gotta be habin sum new blood comin’ up.
It be a career path nown to bring Money$ and fame$.
I am waiting for the videos to come out.
As written, the sentence actually says that the five officers were slammed into the truck. [That’s not what happened, but that’s what the wording says.]
Also, the article says: “Yearwood was then allegedly released without being placed under arrest.”
Worst (or laziest) use of the word “allegedly” ever. Does the journalist not know if the man was released or not? Can he not find out if the man was placed under arrest?
Weak writing and editing, Daily Caller.
You're right, good catch.
