This is just the most ridiculous theory that I've ever heard regarding Trump and a 2nd term. On what is it factually based? I think people are totally misreading this issue.

I have been a Trump supporter since he first declared his candidacy. I predicted his win. He won't be able to blame Congress if he fails to deliver on the wall. Blaming it on a GOP Congress means that the GOP can't deliver so why elect them again? What will cause GOP voters to turn out to reelect Trump? Low turnout means a Dem victory.

Election was/is today. Polls mainly closed now. LePen and Macron will run-off. Fallon lost. Vive la France! Go Le Pen!

Freedom Caucus - Yes , I believe in freedom and strongly approve of the tactics used by the Freedom Caucus - and this is were we have a disagreement -

Obstructing Trump will guarantee a Dem electoral victory. The Freedom Caucus comprises about 15% of the House Reps. They are cutting off their noses to spite their face. They will be back in the minority again, which is where they seem most comfortable. They are fighting Trump harder than they fought Obama or Ryan, whom they elected twice to be Speaker. The GOP is bent on committing suicide. Given the current demographics fueled by mass immigration, the Dems will be the permanent majority party within a decade. It will be generations before we ever see a Rep or non-Dem in the WH.

What will cause GOP voters to turn out to reelect Trump? Low turnout means a Dem victory.

President Trump will have given the American People a plethora of reasons to turn out and vote for him, come 2020. There are many other issues which can ensure his re-election. The power of the incumbency has been well-established historically, and President Trump is sure to use it to maximum advantage. Let's just worry about his first term for now.

Overall, President Trump happens to be doing a great job curtailing illegal immigration, notwithstanding the wall issue. There's no way people will use the wall as some kind of litmus test, when the President's crackdown on illegal immigration is already reaping strong dividends. Attempts at illegal immigration are, by all accounts, down drastically.

The voter base who elected Donald Trump is highly informed, perceptive, and fair-minded. Furthermore, after one term, President Trump's enemies will no longer be able to attack his suitability or temperament for office. Those types of arguments are now completely dispelled.

The President is doing great, and that fact will be seeping in more and more, versus the Fake News and Propaganda Media's attacks. The Democrats and Media (but I repeat myself) have been exposed as the Enemy of the People, and that will only become more apparent, not less, as things progress and America becomes great again.

There's simply too much fretting over this one item, and it has only been 100 days. Many of these things will work themselves out over time...

A massive new entitlement for childcare costs, as Ivanka has advocated, is a horror. It is not the federal government’s business to be funding that. And it is not good for the government to pull more mothers away from their own childcare. Her horrid plan would pay for whatever fancy nanny’s and whatnot parents making up to $300K a year opted for.

We shall agree to disagree. Because I worked because my daughter's father died when she was three years old. I HAD to work. I did get social security death benefits but they were at that time about $600 a month. My house payment alone was $800 a month.

I HAD TO WORK....nobody was taking me away from my child.

My child care costs, which I HAD TO HAVE because likely you'd be the first to arrest and jail me had I left her home alone....were around, at that time $100 a week.

Don't you think allowing me to deduct that on my taxes is better than having me stay at home, collecting welfare or whatever, all my medical care paid for by the gubmint?

Obviously there must be limits but this nonsense about the gubmint taking mothers away from their kids is nonsense.

I think it should be a deductible and hey, we will agree to disagree on this.

Sessions is still hogtied with no loyal support staff.

This article shows the b-word in charge of Russia connections is Obama’s gal and will be there until May! The Deputy AG and top assistant jobs are still unconfirmed! Where is Majority “Leader” Turtle?

As for Speaker Ryan - there were no options if "Republicans" were to show unity at the start of Trumps first Term.

Yes, the GOP - the Tuesday group - A.K.A. Major RINOs are indeed in the process of turning into Democrats

Any objections to becoming a Democrat? After all they do indeed PUBLICLY (not privately) practice Unity

Upon re-reading the Fourth turning - it is possible we could be in the late stages of the Roman Empire

Getting ready to sign off. Got a lot to do.

Here’s my argument....if there is an individual who is constantly disrupting threads on this forum.....why are they still around?

I thank you all for the Freepmails and support you all gave me but we have an individual who comes on this thread for no other reason....well to disrupt.

And judging by the many complaints, this happens a lot.

Now FreeRepublic has never been known to be shy about banning someone. So if a disruptor is allowed to continue on then I assume the management thinks it is ok.

I probably won’t be back again.

We can agree to disagree, and of course your situation is very personal to you. It must have been tough to lose your husband and the father of your child so young like that.

It does sound like SS more than covered the cost of child care, but I can see why you would also like taxpayers to pay for it.

The simple truth is that lots of women don’t have skills above the market value of being their own children’s “babysitter”—and yes, I do still believe that that is the best babysitter most children can have. And those who have such greater skills to more than offset a hired babysitter you also think should be subsidized, though I agree to disagree with you there.

Damn dems. They're like a dog with a bone on this.

They've polled and get most respondees to agree (with the right sort of questions) that Trump should disclose his taxes. As if that alone is a winning issue for them.

So they keep tossing this out there.

Question for Piglosi:

Have you AND your filthy rich husband disclosed YOUR tax returns???

Even so, I don't think Donald is EVER going to do so, and he'll just laugh it off, and the issue will NEVER get much traction with anyone, but the dems won't let go because they're all communists and envious at people who make money the old fashion way (they earn it).

Sessions is the one responsible for enforcing the law or Executive Order. I am not blaming Sessions for anything. Trump must change or repeal the EO. I have no doubt that Trump and Sessions discussed the issue extensively and determined the current course of action.

The reports are that Steve Schwarzman, the CEO of BlackRock, convinced Trump to renege on that campaign promise.
