If that version of intent in the 1st Amend is true, then why was dueling allowed when the Constitution went into effect? And even used by a FF or two?

That version of the 1st Amend was created by the commiescum to prevent any fightback against the commiescum. It was propagated by the cowards who used it as an excuse to sit on their hands.

The FF intended such issues as insulting or inflammatory speech to be handled at street level with bloodied fists as deemed necessary.

But it was just a little do-do.

I would agree, except I think that the statement “we are no longer dealing with liberals” should say “we are no longer dealing with liberals as they were 40 years ago”.

The truth of it is, when Zell Miller gave that speech at the Republican National Convention back in 2004, he was the last of his kind. He turned out the lights when he left the building. (People always held him up as a “Scoop Jackson” Democrat, but I think it is a slander to compare Zell Miller to Henry Jackson, who was fully and knowingly complicit in helping the Truman Administration suppress the knowledge of the levels of communist infiltration in the US government back in the early Fifties.)

The Democrats (liberals) have shifted so far to the left that there isn’t a single one holding office (and haven’t been since Zell Miller) who has the best interests of this country at heart. They are all the offspring of Sixties leftist radicals who find far more common ground with Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn than they do with any Republican who ever lived.

I would say Howard’s tweet is more hateful than anything I’ve ever heard out of Ann’s mouth.

Howard, I think you have to say that it’s “double plus bad” hate speech, dear comrade

The comment was in response to a former New York Times reporter who tweeted, "Free Speech Defenders Don't Forget: Ann Coulter once said: My only regret w/ Timothy McVeigh is he did not go to the New York Times building."

Ann Coulter uses hyperbole all the time. The NYT's reporter and Howard Dean know it. They're just looking to stir up trouble.

And neither of them has a problem with leftists who routinely call for violence to be perpetrated upon Republicans.

>>Straw man argument, what he considers hate speech is the truth, and he needs to point out what is she saying that is hate speech.<<

It is actually a perfect example of that oft-incorrectly used fallacy “begging the question.”

Who gets to say what is and what isn’t hate speech? Most comments I hear about our current president and “the people that elected him” is pure vile, including attempts by the media to denigrate him. I say we arrest Howard Dean for hate speech...

In case I wasn’t clear, though, I am in full agreement with your equation: Democrats = Leftists = Communists/Fascists.

It is why I find it so striking that they constantly invoke hatred of fascism, yet they are ideologically closer to that than any American political entity in recent history.

OTOH, I view this hatred of fascism on their part as having less to do with a dislike of totalitarianism, and more of a nearly knee jerk vestigial tail from their communist roots.

Ann Coulter is not protected speech, but flag burning, neo-Nazi rallies, KKK rallies and BLM riots are protected free speech. What a demented and twisted world liberals like Howard Dean live in.

Liberalism is a self-inflicted mental disease

If the protection of the first amendment is not adequate, it may have to call on the second for backup...
