“He’s used to multi-tasking, with multi-layered international management teams.

The tricks he’s picked up over that 45 years, are something a guy like Obama would not have picked up in five lifetimes.”

I point you over to this thread if you haven’t seen it already.

Go to the link.

It gets into some great detail on the multi-layered, multi-tasking approach as it relates to Trumps foreign policy.

For example,

“The Trumpian approach is becoming increasingly easier to see. However, it is not the typical approach customary amid politicians who use momentary events to elevate the appearance of their self-importance.

“Quite the contrary, with the Trump team each action and participant provides visible dots, but the administration intentionally does not connect those dots for the media or the consuming public – or trumpet their importance.

“The Administrations’ focus is on the ultimate outcome each individual event brings to the aggregate conclusion. ie. ‘the goal’; and not on the individual elements as they are assembled.

..

“The larger objectives of each element is toward an outcome where the U.S. does NOT intervene, does not exhaust military action, but rather manages a process of stability through maximum diplomatic and economic leverage.

It is really quite remarkable, and more importantly it’s working:”

Between Trump and Tillerson, very glad they both had the multinational business background to hit the ground running.
Tillerson’s grasp of the worldwide issues we are facing is impressive - I shudder to think of some inexperienced political hack in that role right now.

I agree with you.

Tillerson knew the players personally. We couldn’t have gotten a better guy in there.

He’s dealt with Putin and the leadership of Russia before. that kind of experience is priceless.

As long as Trump sticks to his goals, we’re in great shape.

So do I.

There will be times when I disagree with him, but he’s the best hope we’ve had in a long time.

I will never get everything I want, but I will get much of what I want under him.

For that I am very thankful.

I still like to think God intervened on our behalf.

The guy is an amazing talent, and we’ve got him.

...

I agree. For years I’ve been saying we need another outsider like Reagan. I had no idea it would be Trump, but I expect he will do better than Reagan because he is a great talent and he stands on Reagan’s shoulders.

Not enough! Feds run $22 billion dollar deficit EVERY F’N DAY! We have to cut $50 billion a day! If we don’t, no way in hell will congress cut taxes.

I had no idea either. I have said it before, but it doesn’t hurt to put this out there every once in a while.

Two years ago about this time of year, a person on the forum asked me to take a look at Trump’s platform.

I declined.

I explained that I couldn’t see myself supporting him, basically EVER.

About 6 weeks to two months later, Trump declared his candidacy.

I took note of what he was saying, and couldn’t resist at least following along to see how it gelled.

The next think I knew, I was all in.

I’ve tried to look up the conversation between me and this other person, but it may be on a deleted thread, because I can’t find it.

I believe lessons learned during the Reagan years will be helpful now. For one thing, he has to devise ways to put things into law that can’t simply be undone easily after his administration is over.

Go Trump.

That’s $60 billion savings per year. He should bank some of that first year savings and put it towards his Wall.
