If you’re a violent criminal in Northern California, Santa Clara District Attorney Jeff Rosen has your back. Rosen has implemented a new office policy requiring prosecutors to “plead down” violent felony cases that may lead to a criminal being deported.

Being liberally-correct is far more important than the safety of actual citizens. Actual citizens in the liberal world don’t matter. They are all privileged and white. Only those people with whom you can make a political statement matter.
So it’s not just about being “undocumented”.

Civil rights case waiting to happen. Corrupt AF prosecutors openly discriminate against US citizens in favor of multiple offender foreign nationals.
So, he pleads the cases down to misdemeanors to avoid the felony conviction that would trigger deportation. Move the goalposts to deport anyone convicted of a misdemeanor.
If he just lets them go with no charges, move the goalposts again to deport anyone who has been arrested. If that doesn't work, just deport them all, and charge the prosecutor with dereliction of duty.
When I read about these people protecting criminals, I actually hope they become victims of the likes of MS13.
Stuff like this would stop if a detailed cost analysis of what Sanctuary Cities is actually costing Californians. Along with raising the comparison of how a Californian would be treated if they snuck into Mexico.

Perhaps the prosecutor should be brought up on criminal charges, himself, or be held civilly liable for future damages done by the 'perps' who were intentionally 'under-charged' by him.
Surely he can be disbarred for that....

The American system doesn’t offer this. However it looks like an impeachment situation.
Quite right and he is openly violating a host of state and federal laws, 8 USC 1324 being only one of them. Someone in Cal needs to file an ethics case today.
