DNC Deputy Chairman: Obama Is Responsible For Electoral Failures
Daily Caller ^ | April 19, 2017 | Chuck Ross

Posted on 04/20/2017 8:10:47 AM PDT by upchuck

The deputy chairman of the Democratic National Committee places much of the blame for his party’s recent electoral failures at the feet of President Obama.

“Barack Obama could have been a better party leader, and I think the fact that he wasn’t has put his legacy in jeopardy,” Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison said at an event held at the University of Minnesota on Wednesday.

Ellison, a progressive who backed Bernie Sanders for president and was an early supporter of Obama’s, said that the former president’s failure to lead the Democratic party led to steep losses at the national level as well as in state houses across the country.

“His true legacy is in danger, and I think he can’t say that he wasn’t part of those losses. I mean, who else?” said Ellison, who serves as second-in-command to DNC chairman Tom Perez.

Lucky he is black, or he might get lynched for such statements.

“Barack Obama could have been a better party leader,

Leading from his behind didn't work for the country either, Keith.

I love the fact that the democrats are cutting each other down, but Obama did not cause the demise of the democrats nationally. That cause is the democrats themselves embracing the radical left as a whole. Obama may have led it, but look at the party itself. From top to bottom they are radical leftist and the party of Zell Miller and Scoop Jackson is long gone.

I think we are witnessing the Clinton and Obama camps both trying to stake claim to the party (with Barry trying to ally with Berners).

This is fascinating, because all I heard in the nooze last summer was that the GOP was irreparably broken, and they never seemed to mention the very obvious schism in the rat party.

He did everything including trying to convince the nation that Trump wouldn’t be president and spying on Trump’s campaign. What more could he do?

His legacy IS why Democrats are winning elections.

It is rather funny that they place any importance at all in a two time Presidential Candidate OR a little poofter putz that is too afraid to come back into this country for fear of being indicted. What else can anyone think?

Lets just say the rat bench isn’t very deep right now.

What else have they got? Biden and Warren.

The blame (they say blame; I say thanks) goes to Elison's fellow progressive, Sanders. Sanders was handed the perfect issue to end hillary's campaign....those pilfered debate questions used against him. Instead, Sanders abandoned his delates for smoother waters, so to speak.

Do I think Sanders would've beat Trump? No. Keepin' it real, there are segments of the population that wouldn't vote for an over-the-hill Jewish communist. But at this point the party would be better off for reorganization if the hillaristas had no influence.

And picking on a fellow Muslim at that.

Keith Ellison should know better, but then, when has critical thinking ever gotten in the way of making a little political hay. Whatever the Democrat party is, it is no longer a national party, tied as it is to scattered urban centers and trying desperately to shed itself completely of any vestige of commitment to duty, honor and country.

Leave Obama alone!

He’s just trying to finish his waffle on board The Rising Sun.

Maybe Ellison’s nose is out of joint because Geffin is Jewish. Ellison may think Obama is betraying the Muslim cause.

(Ellison is right; I just don’t see him smacking Obama about it unless he were peeved.)

It’s not fair to beat up Obama when he’s not here to defend himself. Have the decency to wait until he returns from his trip to places that have no extradition treaties with the US.

The same ones who wouldn't vote for an African candidate with the middle name Hussein?

Well Ellison might be onto something, who repeatedly said things such as (paraphrase) “Make no mistake, me and my policies are on the ballot”.

Sometimes the truth hurts...but the real truth is still the real truth!!! Obama was. and always is,. and will forever be for only one thing...”HIMSELF”!!! He came into the POTUS office with the glee to destroy the American Republic. He failed miserably in that pursuit, he did nothing positive or productive for African-Americans in eight years...but....give him some credit he has destroyed the Democrat Party.

Funny...though African-Americans still love him and the Congressional Black Caucus, and, the NAACP, all of whom did “ZILCH” to lift a finger to better the lives of millions of African-Americans. I guess them “Tribal ways die hard!!! Poor souls cannot see the forest for the trees....”SAD”!!!
