Sweet. I just don’t want to hear the media bs. Wake up pubs. Pass some legislation.

This format is the norm in GA. Why should Reps be discouraged from voting knowing that their favorite candidate has a shot at the runoff? The turnout of independent voters may be depressed due to the lack of a race between two distinct candidates.

Turnout is the key. The Dems are energized and motivated behind one candidate, who has a huge amount of money and the support of the MSM and Hollywood. The race has become high profile because it is a way to continue to attack Trump and boost the morale of the Dems for the midterms. The Dems are desperate for a victory in much the same way the Reps were in 2009 when they took the governorships in NJ and VA.

No, the more the worse.... Less money for any one candidate (unless he/she self-finances the run); fewer volunteers as they are split between different campaigns; increased agitation between voter blocks; more ads with more criticism of other Republicans (which becomes GREAT fodder for the future DEMOCRAT opponent!)... Furthermore, dissociated supporters of the losers sometimes do not get behind the winner but carries the disappointment by not voting at all in the general.

Why do people feel compelled to keep putting up early results with 4%?

That’s not true...he’s not running from it. The ad he’s running here in Ga he says, “I’m a democrat, and proud of it”.

Also, having many candidates may prevent Rs from getting a recount.
Don’t know Ga details but as a rule a specific candidate has to be close to demand one.

NO, all of GA is not in the Eastern Time zone. A little south and west of Atlanta it becomes Central time.

It is not a zero sum game. The number of volunteers are not limited. Candidates bring their own constituencies and volunteers. As the Rep Presidential primary demonstrated, the more candidates you have, the harder it is to break 50% of the vote. The objective for the Reps in this special election is to stop Ossoff from getting 50%. There is nothing wrong with the Reps having in this case, four main candidates.

The real consideration is the number of independents and how they lean in this race. Will they even bother to show up? The greater the turnout, the better for the Reps given the history of this district.
