When is a federal judge going to declare Trump impotent to perform ANY of his executive duties?

I agree.. let’s just look like we are doing what we said.. meanwhile, no wall, and dreamers are getting amnesty. A trillion dollars stimulus is coming.. and don’t even get me started on healthcare.. boy want that a poke in the eye to voters and veterans. Now we have a thousand troops who were under attack in Syria the same week the ores said we aren’t going into Syria.
I was hoping that foreign policy would be great... but denying troops exist in Syria is another Benghazi denial.

I believe the EO is to direct the appropriate departments to actually follow the law as passed by congress.

Every one of the hideous stories about H1-B abuse were breaking the law. But Barky’s departments refused to do anything about it.

The law states, very plainly, that H1-B visas can NOT be used to replace American employees, but that’s exactly what companies like Disney were doing, when they demanded their employees train their replacements, or be fired immediately and lose any severance.

No.. Sadly the EO does not stop the phone lines to India..

Its even cheaper to pay them to work in their home country.

It also states that my Social Security Number is not to be used for identification purposes.

I had to come down to the states because there are not many qualified jmen for oil and gas automation and electrical/instrumentation. I had one guy on my crew with over 30 years experience and I had to fire him because he was completely incompetent.

I tried to hire four jmen, and had no takers, nobody wanted to start at 34 dollars an hour.

I am from Alberta though, and it’s no secret we put out the best trades, but I do think there needs to be more emphasis on trades in a lot of states. Everyone seems to want the white collar jobs not realizing you can make up to 450,000 a year in trades.

You could hire a degreed electrical engineer for that salary right out of college. It would take a little time to get up to speed but they would.

PS: $34/hr is around $70,000/yr not $450,000/yr.

It’s electrical work, not engineering, though most prints that land in my hands end up needing to be redone.

Start at 34 was employee, up to 450 and beyond as contractor. Most decent jmen where I am if you’re worth anything contract out. We gear up our trucks, we tool up and go work.

I think the US would benefit from a national standard for apprentices etc. I know the code is standard, but training should be too.

Yes, and therein lies the rub.

You could hire this engineer straight out of college. Then you’d have to invest some time and money to TRAIN him.

And his resume would not contain your entire wish list of 73 technical skills.

H1B contractors on the other hand are willing to make their resume say absolutely ANYTHING you wish. Years of this have now Pavlov-trained hiring managers to expect resumes that are a 98% fit to their Wish List.

The honest kid out of an American university who refuses to lie on his resume does not have a prayer.

If you posted on any job board in central virginia for electricians paying $34.00/hr and willing to relocate you’d get 400 resumes by the end of the week. Where are you looking for electricians, paying that much, and not finding any?

It’s electrical work, not engineering,

Engineers can do electrical work just like a doctor can be an EMT. If EMT's made more money than doctors a lot of docs would become EMT's.

I understand what you’re saying, however, most engineers I’ve come across are intelligent as for the knowledge, but lack the knowledge for on site building or especially troubleshooting.

Theu have the theory dowm well, but the practical seems to elude most.

I’ve come across some who are really good, but they were already electricians and went in for a degree.

There’s demand for both, I’m simply saying there’s not enough interest in it from what I noticed in PA, OH, WV and TN.

Nope. The H1B needs to die, along with the OPT. If they need to bring the exceptionally talented in, the O-1 still exists for that purpose.

The honest American kid needs to learn one thing: No matter what the list of 73 “skills” is, it comes down to one thing:

“All that matters is price.”

“Why not kill the H-1B visa or put it on hold for 5 years and lets see if there really is a labor shortage. There is only a wage shortage.”

Excellent idea. It would not only see what the impact has been, but also at the same time send Suckerberg, Eisner, and other importers of cheap labor to their psychiatrists.

This is my concern as well. All of our gains can easily be ERASED by a future Dem president. We need this stuff enacted by CONGRESS, or are they too damn UNIPARTY to do what Trump wants? THEY CAN’T EVEN REPEAL OBAMACARE!
