Homeland star Mandy Patinkin says this season of the acclaimed Showtime television drama shows that it is perhaps “the white men in government and the military establishment that are the bad guys,” rather than the Muslim community. In an interview with MSNBC’s Chuck Todd this week, Patinkin said that society had “chosen the Muslim community” as a threat, despite the community making “contributions to the world of a monumental nature.”
Patinkin also said the show, which has been criticized by the left as “Islamophobic” for linking Islam with terrorism, has taken responsibility for this portrayal and has changed its content so they become “part of the cure rather than part of the problem.”
“[Homeland has introduced] a storyline that shows in this case, in this era, in this season, that maybe it is the white men in government and the military establishment that are the bad guys, not the Muslim community,” he continued.

I guess, then, that I’m glad I never watched an episode.
First, I didn’t want to pay for it and second, when it was ‘free’ on my list of streamers I just didn’t get off on that chick who stars - just something icky to me, I dunno.
So I didn’t invest any viewer time in finally getting to a season (and a likely ending) where you get so pissed off you feel ashamed you ever watched any of it. I remind everyone about “Lost” and how pissed off most were about it. I absolutely hate the devolution down into ignominy and idiocy.
He keeps using words.
I don’t thin’ they mean what he thin’s it means.
And, he’s an actor. They recite words well. Appears the understanding is not included in the package.

He has just alienated a huge part of the show’s audience.
I noticed that pro-Islam slant this season and found it irritating and not believable.
Plus, they killed off my favorite character. Spoiler alert...stop reading if you don’t want to know..

The first two seasons of Homeland were pretty good. The third season was meh. It became unwatchable after the third season.
Mandy should stick to acting.
She needs to go live in a Muslim country for awhile.

I never watched it. But I don’t watch much TV to begin with. Mostly its a waste of valuable time IMO.
I thought he was intelligent. A thinker. I was wrong. When will Leftist Jews awaken to the true threat? I do have a number of freinds who are Jewish. They are, to a person, Leftist. SMH.
She is worried that unless she overtly expresses a politically correct attitude pleasing to Hollywood, she won’t get jobs in the future.
I will allow (slightly) that there has been a history on this earth of peoples using some minority group as scapegoats for their plight. Hitler using the Jews in this manner is just one example.
That said...
Muslims have a rich history of marauding and conquering.
Muslims have a history of terrorism in Chechnya, India, the Phillipines, Indonesia, the United States, Spain, France, Sweden, Nigeria, Kenya, Somalia, against themselves in the entire Middle East, Russia, _and_ the United States... I’m probably leaving out dozens of other countries... never mind their treatment of women universally.
So how is it that painting bad actors as bad actors is wrong, Mandy? This isn’t merely a US problem. It’s a world problem.
