For someone who styles herself an advocate of diversity, Joy Reid has a funny way of shutting down diverse voices. Legal Insurrection has documented how in the past she has silenced and even ejected guests who ran afoul of her speech codes.
Back at it today, Reid reprimanded Republican consultant Katon Dawson for referring to the “Democrat” party. “On this show, we say Democratic,” instructed Reid, telling Dawson that “we’re going to have to sit down. We’re going to have a talking-to.” Being lectured by Joy Reid: now there’s something to look forward to!

Joy is absolutely correct. The Republican should have called the democrat party the racist, fascist party. Then he should have asked the racist pig Joy if she might be up to giving a seig heil salute.

We vote for representatives who vote on our behalf. We also have an electoral college who makes the final say on who wins an election.
Clearly the founders didn’t trust the citizen voter and I can’t say that I blame them.
You'd think they'd be pleased at a democratically-elected 45th President.

I would put a “The Only Good Commie is a Dead Commie” Bumper Sticker on my Car, but it would offend every Democrat that sees it because they would think I was talking about them.
This Dawson woman is a damn fool. Any self-respecting person would have immediately walked off the set without saying a word.

Dawson was a fool for not immediately walking out of the interview. Shame on her.
You can call them anything you want. Just be glad that when I address them it’s anything but four letters.

Absolutely correct. For years I’ve made a point to say just that. Irritates me to hear “democratic party.”
But, Dummy, it is the Democrat Party, and has been as long as I can remember and that is a long, long time. It only became the “Democratic Party” in the last few years.
As a “journalist” she could inform herself, if she had a mind to, which I doubt. Her viewers are ignorant too.
Bill Maher asked an interviewer once if they remembered back when Republicans never used the term democratic and how much it infuriated the left. Obviously Joy remembers.
I never use the term democratic when describing Democrats or their party.
I never use ‘gay’ either. They are homosexual.
YUP, I’ll stick with RAT, just for accuracy sake.
