Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt said Thursday that the days of gym memberships being paid for by the American taxpayer are over.
.
.
.
"Well, the gym memberships ended yesterday, it was quite something to hear about that," Pruitt said. He said the agency is investigating the matter, saying "it was the previous administration that granted those gym memberships," which "were rather expensive."

Very few government agents brighten our days by entering our lives, but a lot of them do by leaving.
There are a lot more govt. agencies and there’s a lot more fat to be trimmed. Occam’s razor: just abolish the EPA. To start.
Getting rid of their free gym time is nothing.

They should announce the person(s) responsible for this authorization. It is a form of theft. Make these people accountable. Conservatives always look silly when they purposely avoid looking into these matters.

>>Its not always an easy thing to end a gym membership.<<

That alone should tell you that Trump can, indeed, do the impossible.

But, but, but, there’s water in that pond...It might have some rare snail darter or another protected species in it. /sarc.

The EPA needs to be shut down in its entirety. Current employees prohibited from any other government service for life.

“...if it makes EPA employees unhappy and miserable, then its worth it.”

Yes. Let me borrow a phrase from Fred Imus: what I want to see is THEM wailing and gnashing their teeth and asking “why do they hate us?”

Eliminate the whole EPA, keep a maximum of 5 advisors with zero power.

Both the EPA and the EPA were originally "sold" as strictly advisory agencies.

It's easy enough to determine what party/administrations abandoned their legislative power and assigned them to unaccountable bureaucracies.

Fixing that is way overdue.

I guess this graph explains why President Trump is cutting the EPA budget.

More common sense .. more winning for America.

Outrageous that the taxpayer has to pay for this but this is not an expensive gym. 24 Hour Fitness has several types of gyms. If they were billed $15k for 37 people it comes out to $33 per month which equals an Active Club (basic).

The Ultra Sport gyms membership is over $125 or more per month. I have this membership although I am grandfathered in at $69 per month since 1995.

All I will say is that it's longer than you can imagine.
I don't want to be responsible for your heart attack.
Assuming that you are a normal taxpayer not employed by any government entity.

Keep draining that swamp!

He might want to check those union contracts. There may be some arbitrations coming down the road. See, generally, Chapter 14 of the EPA-AFGE master contract “The Agency, within budgetary limitations, agrees to provide a wellness/fitness program.” and “”...a matter for local level bargaining”
