United Airlines is reportedly compensating all customers who were on the flight in which a passenger was forcibly removed from his seat.
All customers on the flight will be compensated for the cost of their tickets, CNBC reported Wednesday.

Video surfaced earlier this week of security personnel violently dragging a passenger in Chicago from his seat after the man refused to give up his spot to an airline staffer.
The video sparked national outrage and calls for congressional investigations.

It was on a different thread, there are two doctors with similar but different names. The one that was in trouble in Kentucky is not the one that was removed. The one that was removed has a suit against TMZ now too.
Even United doesn’t say they can boot paying passengers off a plane for whatever reason.
It was the United gate manager that was throwing the tantrum and saying screw the law, I’m in charge here...

A business can boot anyone for just about anything and in this case the agreement when one buys a ticket is that any passenger can be bumped.

Yup in addition whatever civil and/or criminal United may be held liable for, it also broke it’s own rules & regs. United managed to create a clusterfluke and then jump in the middle of it.

At age 69, a person tends to have health issues that can be made worse by just the aggravation of the delay of the plane as the airline tries to get people to voluntarily leave. Then the delay after the assault of the passenger. People can only hold their bladders so long. Arthritis is made worse from being confined in the seat during a long delay. It’s painful to the ears when a passenger screams. Stress situations aggravate arthritis. Passengers watching this horror can be easily affected. The enjoyment of the flight is decimated. If I had gotten bumped, I would have been devastated, thinking of all the stress I’d have to face as a person with arthritis issues. If that passenger flipped out, maybe there was a medical reason.

Gosh I spent Christmas in the Atlanta airport, sleeping on the floor, but did not sue or even pitch a fit.
