There is a systematic campaign underway across the US that seeks to ensure that it will be easier than ever for illegal aliens to be able to cast a ballot in the presidential elections. 1)Unleash destructive smears on the Republican through their media sycophants (by doing things like getting long-sealed divorce records mysteriously unsealed)
2)Promise massive amounts of FREE SH** to low-info voters.
3)Stuff the ballot boxes with votes from dead voters, illegals, felons and pets.

I don’t understand why the Repubs aren’t getting a massive effort up now to establish a form of voter ID that all the courts could approve of by the 2018 elections.

It’s not rocket science. In fact, I doubt many actual rocket scientists would be able to figure out why the USA does not require ID for voting (other than the obvious reason, of course).
Here,in Canada: “You must prove your identity and address to register and vote in a federal election.”

Well, that’s the sort of thing if not exact quotations of the kinds of charges ‘rats have been throwing at Republicans for at least fifty years, and given how ill-informed and generally disinterested except around election time the typical voter is, they fall for this kind of demagoguery and tend toward the Democrats because they’re “nicer” and “compassionate” - boilerplate Alinskyism.......
I say, no deportation until completion of incarceration.
Simply deporting them is not a punishment; especially when they can just sneak back in, as many do.
Puh-leeze. There's a big problem here. It may be a federal felony for an alien to vote in a federal election, but almost on one has the guts to arrest them at the polls and process them, convict them, and deport them. So if they know that the law is very likely not to be enforced, they will show up in droves and be encouraged and even bribed to do so.. And they did exactly that in 2016.
Although Trump still won the election, we cannot turn our eyes from the problem of a massive number of aliens (perhaps in the millions) who voted illegally last November, almost all without any consequences. It will continue and get worse until we have the collective will to clamp down on them in accordance with the law.
