One-off elections are often a thumbs up or thumbs down critique of the White House. Many are nationalized like the Kansas race was and the Georgia race is and does reflect current popularity of the CIC.
People influence the race to show that, such as the Christine O’Donnell race in 2010 in Delaware. She lost, because the liberal media and funding nationally. I don’t think it is accurate or shows how the president’s reelection or the next congressional election will be.
