Sir Michael Caine has said he is confident Britain's exit from the EU "will be alright" and that British people have voted for "freedom".
The film star told Sky News: "I think it will be alright.
"I voted for Brexit ... what it is with me, I'd rather be a poor master than a rich servant."
"It wasn't about the racism, immigrants or anything, it was about freedom."
The acting legend spoke about Brexit while promoting his new film, Going In Style.
"Politics is always chaotic.
"In politics you're always going into areas you've never been before, so you're going to get lost and then you're going to find your way, and then it'll be alright."
Going In Style sees the 84-year-old star alongside Morgan Freeman and Alan Arkin.

One of my favorites. Loved him in the Zulu and the Man who would be king.
He’s a master of his trade.
English speaking nations can’t be defeated. The language reflects a freedom seeking philosophy no one else has.
He’s always been my all-time favorite actor. I was almost afraid to read what he had to say, but now I love him even more.
“...One thing I can tell you is you’ve got to be free”
Harry Brown.
Secondhand Lions. (Totally miscast but I still love the movie)

British actors seem to have a lot more wisdom and sense than their American counterparts. Many times John Rhys-Davies has spoken about the dangers of Islam and how it threatens the civilized world. Can you imagine anyone in Hollyweird talking like THAT and not getting pilloried in the press?
But is he master of his domain ?
Good to see Mr. Caine have a modicum of common sense. For another brit actor from his generation with absolutely none, see Capt. Piccard, aka Patrick Stewart.
I think they are in general more educated.
And, here is one of many benefits of education.
It gives you more confidence in your own opinion.
A proper old school education that is.
What happens these days in many colleges can hardly be called education - rather brainwashing.
It’s weird, pissant. (again great to see you)
Star Trek the next generation was a favourite show when I was a kid. Now, I cannot watch it even in repeats. It’s such a propaganda shitfest.
Even infected me.
I broke up with this beautiful latina cheerleader in Colorado after she told me about Rinkeby in Sweden and how muslims was taking over.
Will probably burn in hell for that. Perhaps, deservedly so.
:p
Indoctrination....
The Soviet Union must not have sent moles into the British film industry to change its culture to the extent that they infiltrated the American film industry. The USSR is old history, but its destructive influence lives on.
For a young kid that Zulu movie was intense.
For a young kid that Zulu movie was intense.
I take it Rinkeby in Sweden has been a muzzie sh*thole for quite some time. You’ve been a clear eyed conservative since I’ve “known” you, which must be since about 2003.
I assume your hell burning episode with the Colorado cheerleader was before that.....
The question is how on earth would a Colorado latina know more than Norseman about Sweden. LOL
Michael is one my favorite actors.
We're working on it. We're working on it.
You would think that thespians would the the most sensitive to the threat of Islam since the first act under Sharia law would be to behead the males and make sex slaves of the female actresses.
