Perhaps if gramps had raised his son/daughter better and in turn they raised his grandson better gramps wouldn’t be going through this tragedy now. /s
Schumacher said it was unfair for Peters to shoot at the robbers because they only had brass knuckles on them. Brass knuckles against an AR-15, come on, who was afraid for their life, Schumacher went on.
...
Was Peters allowed to frisk them to verify they were only armed with brass knuckles and a knife?
That might be OK.
Maybe there should be a limit on how many bad guys one can ‘bag’ in a day... like ducks.
Police: ‘Sorry there, Son, but you are over your limit. I’m gonna have to write you a citation. This must be paid within 7 business days or there will be a 15% penalty fee. If you are gonna bag more than 2 at a time, you will need a special permit and no spotlighting. Also, I could see your TV from the street outside. Baiting traps are not allowed in this county.”
Grandpa is entitled to grieve but his humor about “didn’t deserve to die” is very sad. Break into almost any home in America and the culprits have to expect to be shot. This is how we defend ourselves, families, friends, and communities from burglars, islamonazi terrorist attacks, dictatorial oppressors, and corrupted kings. What did granddaddy expect the homeowners to do, throw a Welcome Wagon party for thr burglars? And why didn’t the burglars’ family raise them better ,anyway? Something really wrong in that bunch
There is an old saying : Dying is an occupational hazard of being a thief ,If you don’t like that particular fact of life the solution is very simple DON”T STEAL!
The thieves broke into the occupied dwelling armed with brass knuckles & knives with their faces hidden by bandanas they gambled & lost tough sh*t .
Schools in Okla. don’t teach to not burgle?
Neighbors don't.
Was he only supposed to shoot one, or two?
My feelings and prayers are for the young man who was forced into a crazy situation where he had to make a life changing decision.
I hope he finds peace, as this will not be easy for him.
F**k You Grandpa
There was an indecent a year or 2 ago when an armed robber stuck a gun in a convenient store clerks face. A person with a CC was in the store and shot the robber dead. The dead robbers mom spoke publicly and said the good Samaritan should have minded his own business because her son wasn’t bothering him, or words to that effect..
A semi-auto air rifle ?
sweet dreams ahead.
I’d use an M-1 ... it’s 90% nicer than your AR-10.
Well, at least Gramps probably can’t reproduce anymore so that is a plus in that gene pool.
What stage of the grieving process is this? Negotiations?
I have two revolvers in my bedroom. An 1851 Navy, and a Redhawk 44 mag, In the dark, the Navy is scary! If 8 feet of flame and smoke barreling down the hallway doesn’t scare ‘em off, one blast from the Ruger will!
Hmmm, something about an assumed risk when one chooses to engage in criminal behavior...isn’t that “part of the excitement” of it?
The grandfather is obviously grieving, but it’s inexcusable to say that the perpetrators were met with unnecessary force.
They intentionally sought to rob a home while armed (brass knuckles). Brass knuckles can kill. The perpetrators might have killed the home inhabitants if given the chance. They got what they deserved.
Someone should ask the grandfather what he would do if someone entered his home armed with brass knuckles?
They knew they could be punished for it but they did not deserve to die.
If you break into someones house you better be prepared to die. I wish this story would get a lot more press because I guaranteed it will make punks think twice about doing it.
