An investigation by The New York Times has found a total of five women who have received payouts from either Mr. O’Reilly or the company in exchange for agreeing to not pursue litigation or speak about their accusations against him. The agreements totaled about $13 million.
Two settlements came after the network’s former chairman, Roger Ailes, was dismissed last summer in the wake of a sexual harassment scandal, when the company said it did not tolerate behavior that “disrespects women or contributes to an uncomfortable work environment.”

“Sexual harassment” that can lead to big settlements needs be no more than saying to a female staffer, “could you put the coffee on, please?” The”offense” is entirely in the eye of the one claiming to be offended. It is defined by the offendee.

I cannot stand Bill O’Reilly. He is pompous, arrogant, and I believe every word about him using his position to get sex. This is the guy who was going to rape his employee with his falafel. Ugh, yuck, ew.
While Dr. Wendy is a bit obnoxiously obsessed with her own supposed superior looks on the air, and is difficult to listen to, I still believe O’Blowhard hit on her and went mean when he was rejected.
He seems like a self absorbed, mean guy. I’d like it if he didn’t have a show. I would turn the channel when he is on, but my mom with Alzheimer’s likes to watch him.
Bill O’Reilly is not being unfairly attacked because he is on the right. He’s a slimy arrogant man who hits on women, abusing his position.

Completely agree. In this day and age of everyone having a camera and recorder it should be easy enough for any female (or male sometimes) to get video or audio proof of the supposed harassment. Some people may be ultra (over) sensitive and even be psychotic or simply looking for a big payday to retire with.
I was very disappointed with the women who claimed Roger Ailes went after them. I just don’t believe it quite frankly. After hearing dozens of false reports of rape and/or sexual harassment on the news over the years I’m really jaded when I hear someone claim it happened.
It even got to the point I didn’t want to work with women in the IT department I worked at without at least one other person in the room but even that is no guarantee if they collude and that does happen too. I’ve seen it happen.
But why is it that so many women at Fox dress like street walkers. Is this a requirement for the job? Do they do it on their own? I understand the need to be "attractive" on the televsion. It just seems like the dress code at Fox could be a little more discreet. If this dress code is official policy at Fox, or they are pressured by Ailes to dress this way (very short skirts, very high heels), that then it's a problem at Fox.

I’ve never been a fan of Bill’s. He labeled Freerepublic a hate site.it appears the accusations of harassment are not without merit. Just because dumb liberals have decided they don’t like him doesn’t make him a great guy.
I am no fan of Jefferson but have no doubt that his relationship with Sally was one of love. She was his wife’s half sister and he had promised Martha on her deathbed that he would not remarry. Sally must have even looked like Martha.
As far as I know Jefferson had no other affairs after Martha died.
I usually don't watch Orielly, because Fox puts some interesting people on his show for interviews, and when they are answering a question from Bill, he steps in and interrupts before they have finished.
This is also happening with Hannity and Cavuto, so I am waching less Fox news now. -Tom
