The attorney general of Mexico's Pacific coast state of Nayarit, hard hit by drug cartel violence in recent years, has been arrested in San Diego on U.S. narcotics trafficking conspiracy charges, federal officials said on Wednesday.

Edgar Veytia, 45, who has served as the top law enforcement officer of Nayarit since 2013, was charged in a seven-page, three-count indictment returned by a federal grand jury on Monday in the New York borough of Brooklyn and unsealed on Tuesday.

...drugs keep flowing as long as Americans demand them, the other part of the equation no one seems to mention much....the demand. Pathetic.

(((
You are correct.

And I recall that there was some sort of public service announcement not too long after September 11. It said something along the lines of, “If you buy illegal drugs you are supporting the terrorists.” The message was met with outrage, of course, from the left, and it was not shown again to my knowledge.

I certainly do not have any knowledge in this area, but I suspect that diplomatic immunity extends only to actual diplomats and those attached to them. It would not be available to other political officials.

Pretty sure the origin of the concept is based on the idea of allowing peaceful representatives of one country to move around safely within the borders of another country.

Okay, I just looked it up. Here’s an explanation from a source that can better explain diplomatic immunity.

Wow. First a top executive of Turkey's state owned bank is arrested, now this.

One might be inclined to believe that the rule of law is now being followed on the Federal level.

And the spy for China in the State Department today too.

Sessions must have found a whole stack of folders collecting dust somewhere in Lynch's office.

iirc Nayarit is the place in Mexico that supplies all the black tar heroin to the US. The dealers, almost all illegal aliens, target even children.

This is the most addictive drug and has an extremely high rate of OD deaths. These dealers, who make home deliveries, have destroy communities that previously had no heroin problem.

For whatever reason these dealers are under orders to sell only to whites.

Honestly... there are dozens and dozens listed in the past few days.... Sessions must have had a HUGE stack of cases just sitting there on his desk when he arrived.

At least 1 KG of heroin, at least 5 KG of cocaine, at least 500 grams of meth, at least 1,000 KG of marijuana.

Hmmm...11 pounds of coke, 2000 pounds of weed...
