Yep, good old Sheila Dixon. In another time, she would have been too ashamed to show her face, but there she was campaigning last fall.

And, sadly, she did rather well in a huge field and without having the city’s Rat apparatus lined up behind her. I looked it up to see how close to she came to the winner Catherine Pugh.

Dixon 51,716
Pugh 134,848

It was only 22% of the vote, while Pugh’s showing was 58%, but Dixon was a write-in. On a slate of 9 candidates, only Dixon and 2 others reached double digits — a Republican with 10.0% and a Green with 9.9%.

So sad. Baltimore was once a beautiful, vibrant, hard-working city. It would be wonderful to see, before I die, the rise of a candidate who would cut through the garbage and make Baltimore thrive again. Where is Baltimore’s Trump? MBGA!

Last night, on one of the Baltimore local news stations, there was a story about the closing of a bar that is right near Camden Yards. In the interview, the owner cited the Freddy Gray riots as a major contributing factor in a major loss of customer traffic.

When I a see pictures of those abandoned houses and empty lots in Detroit I think about all the sad stories that are behind them. Every empty house is a tragedy for a family that was forced to leave because a racist black mayor didn’t care about white residents. Many thousands of average income people lost the value of their homes which was their biggest investment. How many people had to leave the homes where they raised their families? How many people had to leave the neighborhood where they grew up, where their parents and grandparents grew up? Black people are always talking about their “communities”, well white people have “communities” too. We are always supposed feel sorry for what black people have gone through but compassion goes both ways.

Right after the riots Obama said that we all had to pitch in and help Baltimore so the corruptocrats governing the city got their multimillion dollar federal grants so they could live the high life at the tax payers expense.
