This is developing! It is more than a rumor as the source is known to me and is credible.
I admit I haven't yet validated everything. But I am asking Freepers to help catch any news, social media, credible scuttlebutt on the firing of Comey.
Please help research. There are many reports in the last few days on the web that Comey should be fired for lying to the committee. Comey did not show for the hearing. I sense strongly something is up.

I’m not as astute as my fellow Freepers in figuring out fake/credible, but I did find a hit or two, and one of them named Gowdy as a replacement. It was usapolitics.com - are they credible or not?

No apology necessary. The thread is not saying it happened, it is questioning whether it happened. And you’re right, it smells. But my source was a text message and that source is credible.
Comey did not show for the hearing today. That may be related or not.
