Trump signs order rolling back climate rules (Winning!)
Boston Globe ^ | 3/28/17 | Daly

Posted on 03/28/2017 1:00:09 PM PDT by pabianice

President Donald Trump, accompanied by Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt, third from left, and Vice President Mike Pence, right, while Trump held up the signed Energy Independence Executive Order on Tuesday at EPA headquarters in Washington.

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump has signed an executive order that will roll back many of former President Barack Obama’s efforts to curb global warming. The order is aimed at helping spur American energy jobs.

The president signed the order at the headquarters of the Environmental Protection Agency.

Trump says this is ‘‘the start of a new era’’ in energy production.

The order will mandate a review of the Clean Power Plan, which restricts greenhouse gas emissions at coal-fired power plants. It will also lift a 14-month-old moratorium on new coal leases on federal lands.

Trump has called global warming a ‘‘hoax,’’ and has repeatedly criticized Obama’s efforts as an attack on American workers and the struggling U.S. coal industry.

More winning, Freepers. Don't overlook Trump's shredding of Obama's communist manifesto.

Since the Globe didn’t complain, I assume we lost. Here is an extract from an article by James Dillingpole on Breitbart:

“Scott Pruitt, head of the Environmental Protection Agency, is more interested in building his political career than he is taking on the Green Blob, insiders report.

Pruitt is also said to be behind attempts to remove at least one of the key phrases from the president’s long-awaited Executive Order on the environment.

It concerns a proposal to repeal the EPA’s Endangerment Finding on CO2 (the disastrous, unscientific, job-killing ruling introduced during the Obama Administration, which rebranded the harmless trace gas Carbon Dioxide as a dangerous substance).

If Pruitt is successful and this clause is removed from the Executive Order it will represent a major setback for President Trump’s war with the Climate Industrial Complex. It may also put into jeopardy the promises Trump made on the campaign trail to scrap “any regulation that is outdated, unnecessary, bad for workers, or contrary to the national interest.”

“This is the president’s one shot at winning this battle,” an ally in the EPA camp warns. “It’s like the French heavy cavalry at Agincourt: lose momentum and he’s going to get stuck in the mud being shot to pieces by the English longbows.”

Now he needs to issue the EO directing EPA to unlist carbon as a pollutant. That’s the keystone. Go for broke.

This is literally imposible.
It can’t have happened.

Because yesterday one of the Free Traitors (engaged in trying to preserve Obamacare) was insisting that Trump shouldn’t be addressing Obamacare or the border because that meant he was doing nothing to improve the job situation.

The Free Traitors wouldn’t lie.
This must not be happening.

If it makes Liberals froth at the mouth, I’m all for it.

The fact that anthropogenic global warming is a political agenda (not scientific) and is squarely focused on an end goal of global governance and redistribution of wealth from the wealthy to the poor, and that this is an effort to put a stake through it is just icing on the cake.

(I know, most people would think the icing on the cake would be liberal frothing at the mouth, but...you have to get entertainment where you can find it these days.)

Good optics for those of a conservative bent. The damage has already been done to coal by prior regulation and market forces involving natural gas. The winning is in rubbing Obama’s nose in it, not so much the jobs.

A lot of “unnamed” and “insider” sources there. Did the phrase get removed or not?

“...roll back many of former President Barack Obama’s efforts to curb global warming.”

None of obama’s efforts were to ACTUALLY curb global warming but had MUCH more to do with furthering global governance.

I think the article has value, but my perception that formed in reading it, it sounded a little like someone had an axe to grind with another person. I admit I could be wrong there, but that is what came to me.

Exactly. None of this has anything to do with anthropogenic global warming (because the actual science does not support it) it is all about power and money.

BOL! Just this week, we were told how Scott Pruitt was more interested in advancing his career versus doing the whacking and cutting needed at EPA:

““Scott Pruitt, head of the Environmental Protection Agency, is more interested in building his political career than he is taking on the Green Blob, insiders report.”

Not to mention Algore's dire pronouncements and those on the tits of grants who call themselves Scientists and the politicians who see $$$$ for themselves and those who fund them.

What a crock Obama etc. have been trying to ram down our collective throats.

Good for President Trump who has the courage to try and right this wrong.

One of my favorite ways to edumicate the creepozoids is to point out that the next Ice Age is coming, and there is NOTHING we can do to change that fact. Whether it is because of the Sun (the most likely reason), or some other factors, or a combination of factors, the next Great Cold is on the way. The average Ice Age is at least 100,000 years. Many years ago there was a mile of ice on top of Manhattan. Before the creepozoids destroyed the scientific method, we used to teach all this as natural. I also like to point out that most of life on Earth is carbon based life. Man will survive, but the AlGoreBots may not.

I dont know about that but, in the 1980s they were running adds claiming the last trees were going to hit the ground by loggers cutting by 2010.

I saw the adds on TV myself.
