North Korea’s Punggye-ri Nuclear Test Site: Possible Vehicles Located at Tunnel Entrance

By 38 North
25 March 2017

A 38 North exclusive with analysis by Joseph S. Bermudez Jr. and Jack Liu

Commercial satellite imagery of the Punggye-ri nuclear test site indicates the presence of possibly four or five vehicles or trailers at the entrance to the North Portal, the site of North Korea’s past four nuclear tests.

If these vehicles are related to test preparations, they could be involved in the installation of instrumentation or even a nuclear device. However, the evidence is not definitive, therefore they may be there for other purposes as well.

Probably installing one of his relatives on top of the device.

Wearing a pair of goggles.

Like the guy in the old rocket sled videos.

Look up “MIRV” on a search engine.

Look up “MIRV” on a search engine.

One of his best segments was when he had Tiger Woods on the show as a two-year-old golfer.

Oh, wait a minute...

Can they see "ACME" on the equipment on the tunnel?

Trump may feel that he does not want to dive headlong into the showdown with N. Korea before he is confident that his major agendas set in motion and gain strong momentum, which ranges from immigration to healthcare to economy. Showdown does not necessarily mean direct military action to N. Korea. It could also mean forceful action against China while the former is not ruled out.

However, intransigence of China and brazenness of N. Korea could force his hand. In China's case, they may resort to stalling and dragging their feet, while encouraging appeasement crowd in Foggy Bottom to step up and ultimately neutralizing any decisive resolution.

I think he doesn't want to be remembered as a president who allowed N. Korea to be a full-blown nuclear power which can directly threaten and casually push around U.S.. Since previous administrations share most of blame for letting this crisis fester and metastasize, this label would be unfair to him, but Dems will hang this around his neck and make it stick. Dems are eager to deal a blow to his leadership and make him less effective, painting him as another waffling leader. He has limited window of opportunity to act. Either he takes care of it this year or it may be out of his reach.

A couple vehicles or trailers doesn’t indicate much. The logistics of an underground test is pretty intense, even if you’re just seeing if it goes bang and don’t care much about containment. Been there, done that.

Trouble with this site is that satellite images they are using are frequently dated. In case of last nuclear test by N. Korea, their Sept. 8 article was analyzing the ones taken on Aug. 27. The article did not say that the test was imminent. The test occurred on Sept. 9. So who knows how far along N. Korea's preparation is since this particular set of images was taken? While the last one was done on a landmark anniversary, that was not always the case. So it could happen sooner than the next landmark anniversary, Apr. 15.

Does anyone here have the lat-long or UTM coordinates for the Punggye-ri nuclear test site?

LOL! My #17, in this thread! I didn't know Bing's "spiders" worked that fast...

Now, try to tell me that everything we say here on FR isn't grabbed, catalogued -- and cross-referenced a zillion ways!

Oh, well -- ever since my engineering analysis of the collapse of the Murrah Building put me and the OKBIC on 0B0z0's LE "Fusion Centers" "terrorist watch list", I just say what I mean -- and let the chips fall where they may...

That's why I "went ahead and let it all hang out" -- and created and published this: Hillary's Treasonous Crimes as Secretary of State.

I'm already "on orbit #80 around our local star"; by the time they could get to me, I probably would already be with Jesus!

FREEDOM! How Sweet It Is!!!

And, how much fun it is -- using those same tools to keep watch on all the weirdness going on here on this ball of dirt! '-)

I seldom use Wikipedia for anything, but they seem to have done a fair job on the NorkShots:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_nuclear_weapons_tests_of_North_Korea

(For example, I hadn't noticed that little mountain stream had flooded his South Tunnel...)

~~~~~~~~~~~
I bet "lil'fatbutt" really gets PO'd when he sees that they rate his nuke test program as "Total country yield is 0.0% of all nuclear testing." LOL!!
But when you compare his to ours using Google Earth (Try 12/1/2006 view):
37.097103, -116.050589  (Wish I could figure out how to put a KML file in a FR post...)
it's easy to see he's going to have to work hard at it to rise above a statistical zero! '-)
