I don’t have the answer and it only stands to get worse.

The answer is very simple: cut funding for every government agency that is not authorized to Congress via Art 1, Sec 8 or otherwise directly mandated by the Constitution. If there are objections, tell them to amend the Constitution.

Note, this would eliminate pretty much everything but the Post Office, the Army, the Navy (of which the Marines are a part), the Department of Transportation, the Secret Service (they're supposed to be about pursuing counterfeiting), and [perhaps] the IRS (Amd. 16 is part of the Constitution).

Note that this immediately gets rid of:

Let me know when that happens. I doubt any of us have enough birthdays left to see it.

I’m not sure that a coup, if it exists, is anything new. More like it is ongoing. The organizations involved, by their nature, are the problem.

I don't think I suggested it was "new". And if it's, "On-going" their plan has gone into survival mode.☺

So what name should it be called when insiders within a government decide to undermine and compromise a president-elect and then the President of the United States? There could only be one motive and many have stated as much. They want Trump out so bad it's now become cliche to publicly and passionately say you want the president of the united states dead.

Yeah folks got to see first hand how all that post 9-11 fedgov power (for example) worked out for liberty. Sadly, there is still a sizeable population of folks who don’t care about the Constitution

Imagine there was no CIA or NSA.

Don’t think about all the reasons you think we need them.

Just imagine a world without them.

I know—hard to pretend like that.

But just imagine what it would be like.

They spend billions of dollars trying to keep you from thinking those simple thoughts.

Trump knows what he needs to do—let us hope he has the courage and wisdom to get it done.

Did Comey lie, or did he not know? Did he know, and use lawyerspeak word parsing to lie without lying?

What I was referring to was Comey's refusal to even acknowledge that the leaking was worthy of being nvestigated or that it had occurred at all. I don't know if he was lying? What difference does it make? He has allowed the FBI to be politicized. He is worse than Hoover ever was even at the height of his power.

Sadly, there is still a sizeable population of folks who don’t care about the Constitution

The REAL problem is when the people who enforce the laws no longer care about the Constitution.

There's a scene during the first season of "Game of Thrones" where lord Eddard Stark has a decree from the just-deceased king, making him the regent until the king's son reaches majority. The queen tears up the document, and she said "Do you think this piece of paper protects you?"

The Constitution is just a piece of parchment. What matters is the ideas contained in the document, and the rules and limits it places on government.

A disaster is where the people who are supposed to live by and are granted powers by that document decide to exceed the mandate of those powers, taking more power than was legitimately given to them.

By ignoring the rules that make up the government, the result is tyranny.

I agree. But ultimately, if the electorate is unfamiliar with the Constitution, or if many could care less about it, they will vote in the tyranny. I have met both D’s and R’s who think that the Constitution is nothing more than a piece of paper.

Your point is well made... I’ve seen a number of reports that the majority of college students now believe that the First Amendment protections of free speech don’t extend to hurt feelings.

Another generation or two educated in government schools and leftist controlled universities, and the “blessings of liberty” won’t be remembered by “our posterity.”

The thread on F.R.mentioned above indicated that Obama had the White House computer system replaced with a new one on January 1, 2017 and suggested that the old system is now under his control at the offices of Organizing for Action, a new N.P.O. set up by him.

What evidence of his crimes and corruption are on that old system and how compromised is the new system at the White House?
