He wanted this just as bad as any RINO or Ryan.
Here, here; repeal means repeal, not amend/change the existing un-Constitutional law. Any similar bill should be according to the obvious limits to DC powers in USConstitution:
Strictly enabling and allow free market health care with enhanced tax changes and health savings abilities. All health insurance companies to operate across state lines and allow other insurance companies to operate in the health care industry.
What I find missing in the current debate on RyanCare and the debate in 2009 on ObamaCare is a simple question.
Who are the people who actually wrote this legislation?
For certain we know our elected Representatives and Senators did not write any of the words. (Pelosi said they needed to pass it so the Congress Critters knew what was in it)
We also know for certain that healthcare consumers (aka we the people) did not write any of the words. (Consumers have seen their insurance costs double under ObamaCare)
So who wrote the words?
Did the Health Insurance Industry write RyanCare or ObamaCare?
Or was it the AMA, pharma, hospitals, trial lawyers, government bureaucrats?
Amen, Jim.
My Rep. Dave Brat has been a stalwart since being elected .

We all owe the Freedom Caucus thanks for standing against Ryancare being hung around the neck of our President.
It was a rearranging of Obamacare, not even close to repeal.
Thank you. I don’t know why folks, including the president, can’t understand that health care is not a responsibility of the federal government. It makes no difference what is in the bill itself; it is the fact that accepting the principal of federal responsibility puts the country on an unsustainable path. It is not a matter of supporting or not supporting the president, it is just wrong to think that good intentions can justify improper actions.
When the democrats passed Obama Care, they recognized that it didn’t make any difference what the bill contained as long as it put the federal government on the hook for people’s health care. Rather than taking this once in a lifetime opportunity to kill the monster, republicans, through arrogance or ignorance, think they can make it better or manage it more efficiently. As with a myriad of other programs, this one will take a life of its own regardless of how it is structured at the beginning.
Agree with all you said, Jim. Any form of socialized medicine is unconstitutional on its face, and should never even be considered by the Republican party.
Rip Obamacare out by the roots, and return medical care to the states and the people!
Death to Fedzilla!
So, sports fans, in a three dimensional chess tournament, President Trump hands the Rhinos their a**es and effectively boxes Paul Ryan’s ears. The babbling Rhinos had nothing in their magic boxes for the last 7 years after all. Nothing like a public drubbing to humble a person. Oh, and Paul Ryan, would you return to the locker room to turn in your Speaker tee shirt and keys? Thank you. That is all. Now, if the JV would clear the court, it is time for Varsity to step in.
Just let ObamaCare go bust.
The Freedom Caucus, the Countryclub Caucus, and the RINO Caucus of the GOP need to agree to put forward a unified message: Democrat intransigence prevented the GOP from reforming the health care system. Democrats created ObamaCare without a singe GOP vote. When it fails, they own it. But the public won’t know that if conservatives blame each other instead of blaming Democrats for their insane ObamaCare scheme.
Too many people have been told the government should take care of all problems. I really wish the CONGRESS followed the Constitution.
The problem is that the GOP will not let Obamacare go bust. They will mend it, not end it.
Interesting that Ryan won’t submit a bill to repeal Obama Care...I’d like to see the vote on that one...
The crap coming from the GOPe/WSJ/NeverTrumpers bashing conservatives and Trump is really coming out now. They didn’t get their worthless Ryancare bill passed and by God they’re gonna make Trump and the Freedom Caucus pay.
Pre-Obamacare, the only healthcare crises was the supposed 40 million uninsured.
Under Obamacare, that number magically got reduced to 20 million and they were basically covered by Obamacare.
Return to pre-Obamacare free market insurance policies/coverage and allocate special funding to cover those 20 million. That would still be cheaper than the extortionist Obamacare.
But ... Obamacare was never meant to be healthcare coverage, was it.
Absolutely.
States’ Rights or bust.
Buying insurance and healthcare are two totally different things and I do not want our FERAL Government in either.
