Let negotiations continue in an orderly fashion.

When was the last time THAT happened?

Fix it or not, but there won’t be another bill or another repeal.

I'm good with that.

Kudos to the House Freedom Caucus for standing firm.

Much better to get this right than ram it through like some Democrat would...

yes FReeper friend, the uniparty is corrupt as an institution. but God is still on the throne hearing prayers, and there are still Reps up there who understand and recall the consequences of ignoring a meltdown of the phones by the people. there are many former “conservative” politicians and phoney “tea party” reps who have found that out.

hopefully this schooled them, and reminded them that many of us still take the pains to know exactly what they are trying to do to us.

keep your powder dry and your prayers going up. tell them give us an honest repeal. just keep their promise. that’s all we are asking.

Do you mean he wants everyone to think he wants to replace but he really wants repeal?

He wants his opponents to think it’s a ruse when he says he wants to repeal, but, in reality, he really does want to repeal. Psychological judo.

All this legislative frenzy stuff started under Obama, and it was not good.

It started with George W Bush and Hank Paulson running around screaming "the world is going to end and we're all going to hell if you don't approve this gigantic bailout bill! for the love of God, it's that important! No time to read it or think about it, vote NOW!"

Yeah, I saw this coming.

They don’t have the votes. They know they don’t. Better to delay this until there is really something to vote on. And then be sure it can pass the House.

House Freedom Caucus is really getting under my skin.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Why? It was just reported today that they would SUPPORT the bill.
Bunch of spoiled brats Freedom Caucus people willing to sabotage the entire Trump agenda, on every issue forward from here, in order to make headlines pushing for changes that would never have a chance of being in a Senate bill.
Sorry to tell FR Conservatives that, but that is the reality.
Such people die political deaths very bravely.... and very quickly.
“And Trump just accused the “Freedom Caucus” of playing politics live on television.”
Did he really blame the Freedom Caucus? There was a FR thread from just this morning that indicated The Freedom Caucus would get on board with RINOCare.
And I was happy to see that. Not that they should, but that alignment meant that no one could blame the conservatives for when it failed.
Trump has threatened conservatives twice recently to suck up and pass ObamaCare or get primaried. Then yesterday Spicer as all “Ha ha, we’re just kidding.”
What is the problem with delaying the vote for a day? I heard the vote will be tomorrow. I am sure it will have some sweeteners for the Freedom Caucus, which is fine by me. The bill needs to be more conservative.
Hannity just said the vote will be tomorrow.
Yeah right. If it'd fail today - it'll fail tomorrow as well.
Trump wants everyone to think he wants to repeal, but deep down and secretly, he really does want to repeal. The Catch-22 in the Art of the Deal.
Correct. And when it’s all over - Ryan and the democrats will be blamed for their failure to “replace”.
So you're that homesick for Pelosi and Reid ...
Ryan and McConnel need not resign; we just need rational representatives in Congress that can compromise to get a deal done.
This is an Obamacare defunding bill. Nothing more. That’s what it should have been called. It addresses ONLY monetary levels and cannot address substantive changes NOR can the Senate add any of their own. It needs only 51 votes.
Once it’s defunded, it’s dead in it’s tracks, the RATs will have nothing. If only the Republicans could act like they knew what they were doing.
The next step is already in place....Tom Price heads DHHS and will be (probably is) ripping RAT-crap policy out by the roots. Former Congressman Dr Price is the architect of HR2300, the House (replacement) plan which has been around since 2013.
There will likely be a plethora of bills to follow the defunding action; addressing interstate competition, high risk pools, association health plans, health savings accounts etc etc etc.
You have this all wrong.
Do you not know Trump is using Ryan as a stooge and - like the Freedom Caucus - has no intention of replacing ObamaCare with ObamaCare 2.0?
He’s rattling sabers at the CONSERVATIVE Freedom Caucus as a headfake. As an end run bait and switch to fool Paul Ryan and the democrats.
