um...NO...Elections have consequences. You got two looney leftist on the court already using that same logic so no deal. This is an easy one. We vote based on whether or no someone is qualified. Not based on him allowing you to take a life without consequence.

Have their cake and eat it too.

Schumer can go to the whacko base and say “We would have died on that hill, were it not for Joe Manchin and his Gang Of (whatever)”

He did not say “settled”. He said it is the “law of the land”. But many things were the law of the land as well.

RE: Graham, McCain, and....?

Susan Collins ( who might as well be a Dem ). I’d add Lisa Murkowsky of Alaska ( who might also as well be a Dem ).

I don’t fully trust him either but what he says in confirmation isn’t really the reason not to trust someone. The process is theater.

We could still use the “nuclear option” for the next nominee couldn’t we????

R's would not do that, only 'Rats do - they'd have no problem agreeing to no-nukes, and then Nuke the next nominee.

Why? When you deal from a position of strength, you use the strength. Have no illusions that the dims would do that.

President Trump is in a unique position where he can appoint up to three justices in the next few years.

No agreements - just hold the vote and if Filibuster is threatened do away with the FILIBUSTER totally. Senate Filibuster is not found in the US Constitution anywhere it is only a tradition in the Senate and Harry Reid has already took a chink out of it - McConnell should finish it off for good..

That is how you get even with the RAT PARTY. This also provides a way to ensure passage of Obama/Rino Care, if that is what the RINO Leadership insists on.

GROW A PAIR.

This goes nowhere.

Schumer has already announced the filibuster.

Nukes are the only option.

I think the Republicans should go for the deal but then later invoke the Jesse Unruh Rule of Politics

Now would be a great time to dump the filibuster rule and let’s get busy restoring our constitutional republic!

You are so right. They wouldn’t be offering if they could stop the nomination. They are just trying to salvage something out of the situation.

What kind of deal is that?

The guy is gonna get through one way or another.

Then don't filibuster and give the man an up or down vote.

The questions are made to see if they can trick Gorsuch into saying how he would rule if a challenge to that law came up. Same answer everyone gives.

What a waste of every ones time.
