Pledge to Hire 10,000 Refugee BACKFIRES Massively on Starbucks CEO

Starbuck’s CEO, Howard Schultz, has signaled he may have made a decision between his duty to the shareholders and nearly-200,000 worldwide employees of the multi-billion dollar company in favor of a political career.

Schultz will be stepping down from his position in April of this year after a series of politically calculated, but financially devastating moves that found the coffee giant on the wrong side of the consumer one too many times, throwing the company’s stock into free fall.

Two years ago, the Starbucks brand took a hit after initiating a policy requiring young baristas to “engage” in discussion and debate with customers about their unsuspected prejudices on race and publishing an eight-page newspaper insert questioning readers racial questions such as how many friends of a different race they have, how often they share a meal with a person of another race, and the percentage of people in their Facebook stream are of another race.

Starbucks to Hire More Vets After Backlash to Refugee Hiring Plan

Starbucks announced a new plan of hiring 25,000 veterans and military spouses by 2025.

In its announcement Wednesday, the coffee chain highlighted that it has already reached its goal - set in 2013 - of hiring 10,000 veterans and military spouses within five years.

Starbucks has now expanded its total commitment by 15,000.

“The numbers don’t tell the story. The story is the unbelievable heart, conscience, integrity, leadership skills of the people that we have been fortunate enough to bring into our company,” said Howard Schultz, Starbucks CEO and chairman.

How do these liberal nits like Schultz get in charge of a large company? He is far from the only CEO like this.

I’m seeing Starbucks coffee on the reduced price shelf at Kroger. Even at the grocery store level Starbucks is failing.

Their coffee is ok, but McDonald’s coffee is better. McDonald’s coffee is a better value, too. Starbucks is ok once in a while.

"implactions"

That's really not a bad (innocent typo) mistake, overall....

From an online dictionary:

im·plac·a·ble [imˈplakəb(ə)l]

ADJECTIVE

unable to be placated: "he was an implacable enemy of Ted's" synonyms: unappeasable · unforgiving · unsparing · inexorable · [more]

How's this for a new word??? ....

im·plac·a·tion

[imˈplakə shun]

NOUN

An action that fails to placate your enemy.

It would not appear by any analysis that Starbucks stock is in ‘free fall.’

This must be fake news.
