SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - A judge is rejecting opponents’ latest attempt to stall California’s $64 billion high-speed rail project. But Sacramento County Superior Court Judge Raymond Cadei said Wednesday that he will consider their arguments before the state issues voter-approved bonds next month. He set a hearing for next month to consider their motion for a preliminary injunction.

It will be amusing to watch Governor Moonbeam beg Trump to maintain and increase the Federal subsidies for this boondoggle.

Further detachment from reality. One project that SHOULD be stopped, won’t be, until California is spent into total financial ruin.

‘Tis a pity. California once had so much promise as a potential New Eden, then they embraced the serpents.

Serpents are widely known for their perfidy.

This choo choo train is the biggest Brown doggle ever conceived. As we all know it’s about Union votes and kick backs. Two years ago I listened to a couple of engineers talking on the radio saying that they didn’t realize how the mountains at the Grapevine would be an impediment to construction. Boy do they think the public is stupid. The airplane has been around awhile and I noticed they go over mountains pretty good.

Didn’t the original proposition deny funding if government funds were needed beyond private participation?

If this project makes back $10 billion I’ll be surprised.

It’s ongoing costs will probably never render a profit from year to year.

Actually it was conceived as a Schwartzenegger boondoggle. Brown is moving it down the track, so to speak.

Actually it was conceived as a Schwartzenegger boondoggle.

Actually, it's been on the list as a way to "give dogs what is sacred and cast pearls before swine" long before Schwarzenegger.

Schwarzenegger probably thought he could prime the Federal supply of money for useless boondoggles by first shafting the Kali taxpayers, and the way things work, the end bondholders.

That's after Wall Street gets its cut, and can funnel the money back to Feinstein, McCain, Blumenthal, and of course, Schumer /Puerto Rico

At least California officials were able to help justify the monstrous cost of this project by evacuating all those Oroville residents with hi-speed rail!

= = =

That is just UNFAIR!

Make the airplanes taxi on the ground from location to location to make things equal with those poor land-based trains.

How did those engineers think they would get out of LA?

Anyone designing trains for CA should remember the problems they had at the foot of EL Cahon https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iW2KSTkHuA8

By all means, continue the funding. The rails lead straight to Hell. Just please, please, please succeed from the Union first so you don’t drag the rest of us along with you as the caboose.

The only problem with flying between northern and southern California is the delay caused by security we need to keep Muslims from killing us more often than they do. Other than that it is very convenient. If travel between frisco L.A. is so slow than deal with that problem rather than waste money.
