The way the left is treating President Trump, it reminds me a lot of the story of Tom Horn (book and 1980 movie which starred Steve McQueen). Tom Horn was hired to do a job that he was really good at and when the corrupt people that hired him couldn't control him they framed him for a murder that he didn't commit and subsequently was later hanged.

While I do believe that President Trump has a lot more resources at his disposal to fight back against the scurrilous and outlandish claims that the left keep dreaming up, President Trump's story and Tom Horn's story are very similar.

They both were hired by powerful people to do a job that desperately needed done -- They set about doing the job and were subsequently falsely accused of ridicules charges.

Ultimately President Trump will prevail.

GOP leaders associated with the NeverTrump movement and what is known as the GOP “Mormon Mafia” hired a company named Fusion GPS in Washington DC to conduct “opposition research” against now President Trump in late 2015. Fusion GPS is run by three former Wall Street Journal reporters: Glenn Simpson; Tom Catan; and Peter Fritsch. Individuals involved in recommending and securing Fusion GPS services included Sen. John McCain, Mitt Romney, Frank VanderSloot and Evan McMullin.

Fusion GPS hired UK based Orbis Business Intelligence, run by ex-British spies Christopher Steele and Christopher Burrows. Steele was MI6 and had been posted in Moscow in the 1990s. Orbis used Steele’s ex-KGB sources to attempt to dig up information against Trump. Orbis created the famous and now discredited “dossier” against Trump. Sen. John McCain notified the FBI of the dossier in October 2016. He hand delivered the dossier alleging secret Trump-Russia contacts and extremely embarrassing allegations to the FBI in November. The files were widely circulated within the Obama administration.

In their enthusiasm, FusionGPS/Orbis and their Russian operatives placed numerous calls and sent emails to both to Trump campaign members and to current Russian intelligence operatives early in 2016. The volume of these calls and emails caught the attention of the CIA. An FBI Counter-Intelligence project was started to assess whether these communications represented a threat to the US. Because of the sheer volume of the communications and the known Russian agents involved, FBI Director James Comey sought a FISA Court warrant to investigate the nature of the calls in June 2016. The FISA Court rejected the request. Not to be thwarted, the FBI, working with the CIA and the NSA, created a list of Russian individuals that had communicated with the Trump campaign that would be monitored. The calls and emails were intercepted without warrant under current FBI Counter-Intelligence authorizations. The communications were recorded and attempts to identify the US person(s) on the lines were conducted. The now famous call between Gen Flynn and the Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak was captured in this sweep.

Following the GOP Convention, the funding for FusionGPS/Orbis from NeverTrump and the GOP Mormon Mafia ended. Fusion GPS did not want to see their efforts end and solicited the continuation of the project to Democracy Partners and others in the DNC. They were successful in securing some additional funding form DNC affiliated donors. With the assistance of James Comey, the FBI agreed to pick up some of their expenses to continue forward. The FusionGPS/Orbis efforts continued until early January 2017. James Comey and all of the members of the Obama administration national security leadership knew that the Trump/Russian interference conspiracy was based on these FusionGPS/Orbis activities in October of 2016.

No evidence of wrong-doing by any member of the Trump campaign was found.

President Obama’s Director of National Intelligence (DNI) James Clapper and his Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) director John Brennan oversaw a secret supercomputer system known as “THE HAMMER,” according to former NSA/CIA contractor-turned whistleblower Dennis Montgomery.

Clapper and Brennan were using the supercomputer system to conduct illegal and unconstitutional government data harvesting and wiretapping. THE HAMMER was installed on federal property in Fort Washington, Maryland at a complex which some speculate is a secret CIA and NSA operation operating at a US Naval facility.

President Trump’s allegation that the Obama Administration was wiretapping him is not only supported by Montgomery’s whistleblower revelations about Brennan’s and Clapper’s computer system THE HAMMER, but also by statements made this week by William Binney, a former NSA Technical Director of the World Geopolitical and Military Analysis Reporting Group, by former CIA and State Department official Larry Johnson, and by Montgomery’s attorney Larry Klayman.

Computer expert Dennis Montgomery developed software programs that could breach secure computer systems and collect massive amounts of data.

That system, THE HAMMER, according to the audio tapes, accessed the phone calls, emails and bank accounts of millions of ordinary Americans.

The tapes also reveal that the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance court (FISA), Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts, 156 other judges, members of Congress, and Donald J. Trump were targeted by the HAMMER.

One of the audio tapes made public by Federal Judge G. Murray Snow revealed that Brennan and Clapper particularly targeted and wiretapped Donald Trump a “zillion times.”

Montgomery also contends that the government can plant files such as child pornography or state secrets on a target’s computer, setting up the owner of that device for blackmail or framed prosecution.

Former CBS reporter Sharyl Attkisson alleged in 2013 she was under electronic surveillance for at least two years and that three classified documents were planted on her “compromised” computer.

The audio tapes were released by Federal Judge G. Murray Snow in Maricopa County, Arizona in the Justice Department’s civil contempt case against Sheriff Joseph M. Arpaio.

Attorney Klayman, founder of Freedom Watch, represented Montgomery before federal Judge Royce C. Lamberth. Klayman, who characterizes his client Montgomery as a “whistleblower,” told Fox News that Montgomery “turned over 600 million plus pages of information to the FBI.” Judge Lamberth was formerly the presiding judge over the FISA court.

After Montgomery produced his documentation, the FBI gave him two immunity agreements: one in the area of “production” and the other regarding “testimony.”

The FBI then took possession of Montgomery’s documentation.

Attorney Klayman asserts that this information precipitated James Clapper’s resignation.

Clapper had gone before Congress to testify under oath that the NSA, and other intelligence agencies including the CIA,” were not collecting massive amounts of telephonic and Internet metadata on hundreds of millions of innocent American citizens” according to Klayman.

Whistleblower Edward Snowden’s revelations proved otherwise.

Clapper was subsequently found to be untruthful and resigned on November 17, 2016, effective January 20, 2017, the day Donald Trump was sworn in.

Clapper has not been prosecuted for perjury.
