You Don't talk for me! Le Pen and Macron clash in fiery debate about the burkini
Express ^ | 3/20/2017 | Katie Mansfield

Posted on 03/21/2017 2:28:31 AM PDT by Nextrush

In a heated exchange the frontrunners turned their attention to the burkini and secularism......

... Marine Le Pen said: "I know you Mr. Macron are in favour of the burkini on the beach."

But the centrist Emmanuel Macron fired back...

He said: "No, Madame Le Pen don't put words in my mouth. I don't need the talent of a ventriloquist. When I have something to say, I will say so myself."

Determined not to drop the topic, Ms. Le Pen: "So what do you think of the burkini?"

Mr. Macron said: "My views om the burkini have nothing to do with secularism, it is to do with public order. I want to avoid any troubles with public order to divide society.

The trap in which you have fallen is to divide our society.

Over four million French people whose religion is Islam, and most of whom are not in favor of communitarianism, you want to turn them into enemies of the Republic."....

Ms. Le Pen, who has been leading in opinion polls to win the first run off...fired back.

She said: "I hear people talking about liberty and we have these young women who cannot dress the way they would like to. They are forced to war an Islamic veil simply because we have allowed Islamic fundamentalists to take over.".....

She said: "There is something no-one has mentioned perhaps because they are closely involved, it is when people benefit from the system, they go through the best elite schools and then they become a banker and then they go into politics."

Mr. Macron, a 39-year-old former economy minister and investment banker who has never run for elected office, took offence.

He said: "I feel she is aiming that at me. You would be bored if I was not here".....

"I haven’t seen anything seriously objectionable about her."

I like LePen, but there is one thing that bothers me about her. She wants to ban all religious symbols in public. So it's not just wearing a burka as I understand it, but wearing a cross that is visible or wearing Kippahs by Jews. That seems a little extreme to me. I can understand not fully covering your face for your drivers license. That's ridiculous, but if some Muslim woman wants to wear a burkini at the beach, what do I care?

Le Pen is not my ideal human being, but neither have I been perfect in my life.

Why should I be so harsh on her or her father or whatever?
Marine has kicked her father out of the FN anyway.

She is against the globalist elites who do the bidding of I$lamic $$$$$$ from the $audis and Gulf Arab$ and their pathetic ventures like the “Arab Spring”.

Marine Le Pen has rightly observed that it would be foolish to show too much hostility to Russia because that would drive them into the arms of the China making the world more dangerous.

Nigel Farage has never openly supported her, but did say accurately that her victory would be the downfall of the European Union and Nigel no doubt will be hoisting a pint or two if Le Pen wins.

Unless you see the world through liberal eyes, Le Pen is not a Fascist. I hope she wins!

If a camel only wants to stick his nose into my tent, why do I care?

France never had a Reagan or a Thatcher. They did have a DeGaulle, but he has been gone for almost fifty years, and France has been declining into socialism since. Fascism is not the antidote to Marxism, freedom is.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Fascism has for many years been used by Communists, and more recently by Muslims and their sycophants, as a Bogeyman to frighten slow-witted voters.

“the ridiculous Le Pen, who has no chance to defeat him”

Right. And the UK will never vote to leave the European Union and it’s laughable (HAR-HAR-HAR!!!) that the clown Donald Trump will win Iowa or any other state, win the nomination, or ever become President.

I didn’t think she was. Liberactionaries and regressives have been throwing that term around like water, especially nowadays, so the mere accusation from these morons is sometimes an indication that the accused is all right. Ironically, they are the ones assaulting people on the streets, telling lies that would do Goebels proud, and the real Jew haters who are targeting community centers and synagogues. Their affinity for Islamists is perfectly natural. Fascists and Islamists have always been allies.

Some of the nude girls at the link appear to be under 18. Please do not cause FReepers to possibly get child porn in their web caches.

"The majority of French people are not going to vote fascist, and that is what the “National Front” is.

>From Wikipedia:
"The National Front (French: Front National, pronounced: [fʁɔ̃ na.sjɔ.nal]; FN) is a right-wing populist and nationalist political party in France."

Are you sure? Right-wing usually indicates the opposite of Fascism.

Louie reigned about a century before the Revolution. Me thinks the wars against England played a larger role in France’s bankruptcy including the aid given to the revolutionaries in North America.

Maybe it was XVI. Long time since I read Lefebvre. Their support for the Americans was just a continuation of their multigenerational imperial contests with England, finally resolved at Waterloo.

The ban on burkinis keeps fundamentalist Muslims away from beaches. If they allowed burkinis, huge crowds of backwards ghetto dwelling muslims would start coming to beaches and harassing the French women.

Your attitude is what got America and European countries in trouble with immigration and multi-culturalism in the first place.

"Your attitude is what got America and European countries in trouble with immigration and multi-culturalism in the first place."

No, what got us to this point is allowing special privileges accorded to Islamo Fascism because we don't admit that it's a radical political ideology that is inimical to western thought and not a religion. What is the fashion for Muslim women to wear at the beaches has nothing to do with it and I don't really care what their swimwear is. The death cult is the problem, not Muslim fashions. If Muslim fashions change because we stamp out the death cult ideology, that's fine. If it doesn't that's fine also.
