The thief who swiped a Secret Service agent’s laptop targeted the agent in question and knew exactly what he was after ... law enforcement sources tell TMZ.
Our sources say the thief -- whom they say is a man -- was caught on surveillance video pulling up to the agent's driveway in an Uber at around 3 AM Thursday. The video shows the man make a beeline for the agent's car, removing a backpack with the computer inside and then walking off. As we reported, the hard drive contained Trump Tower floor plans and evacuation protocols, but the agency insists there was no classified info inside.
The thief also made off with a passport and several Secret Service lapel pins. It's unclear what the thief was looking for if all the content was non-sensitive. We're told the video is grainy so it's hard to make out the thief's features, but it's definitely a lead.
Exactly—what that video shows is that it was a premeditated inside job, with the agent complicit.
Right, the female agent was the one who conveniently left this in her unlocked car—and then told her accomplice where to find it.
“This was a hand off, not a robbery.”
Exactly, computer, passport and lapel pins in a back pack in a car at 3 AM....did he have to break in or just open the door? and where is this agent now..... in her safe space?
Now we know why he never goes back to Trump Tower. Too easy a target.

Have you noticed there are two versions of this incident in the media? One states her CAR was robbed, another states it was a 2015 Baja MOTORCYCLE. One report says middle of the night, another says some time around 8 am.

If it was a “hand off” by the Secret Service, you’d think they would not be stupid enough to get caught in surveillance footage.
The Secret Service is in desperate need of purging. All it does now is serve secrets.
This sounds like another Trump move to throw off the press, so to keep them busy playing picky poke while real business is being taken care of by the adults.
They should have just left it in a mailbox like the tax returns.

The NYPD Director of Policy and Planning for the Counter Terrorism Bureau Jessica Tisch demonstrated the system and showed how, "with the click of one button, I can call up all cameras within 500 feet" of the incident.
The system can be used to review footage recorded earlier to learn more about who left the package on the street. Authorities say all camera feeds are saved for 30 days before they are erased.

Gotzta make them feel pretty shallow — to be scooped by TMZ. That is almost as bad as being scooped by The National Enquirer.
