Nearly 10 attacks were made on migrants in Germany every day in 2016, the interior ministry says.
A total of 560 people were injured in the violence, including 43 children.
Three-quarters of the attacks targeted migrants outside of their accommodation, while nearly 1,000 attacks were on housing.
Chancellor Angela Merkel's decision to open up Germany to people fleeing conflict and persecution has polarised opinion and been followed by an increase in hate crime.

Really, every time we saw that clip on Fox yesterday, my mother and I hooted. Merkel made faces, grimaced, and looked like she was ready to upchuck.
How many attacks went the other way - or do they not keep those statistics because they would be racist/xenophobic?

One example might be the Dusseldorf Messe (Expo) fire. This was a facility used for car-shows, expo fairs, etc....that was shifted over to being a large scale refugee holding center. In June of 2016, the Messe was set on fire. Cause? There was a fuss raised by Islamic members in the facility that the support crew didn’t awaken them in the hour or two prior to sunlight....to allow them to eat and hydrate themselves prior to daylight (Ramadan had started).
Cops pieced together the entire event, and could come down to two or three guys being responsible for this. The court decided that not enough evidence existed or that the case was done in a wrong fashion....and dismissed the whole thing. No one will be held responsible for the fire.
It’s a story which won’t be talked about much in German circles or within the German news media.
She had it in her mouth and had to swallow it when Trump said Radical Islamic Terrorists. She even cleared her throat at the instant he said it and didn’t even look up from the lectern while he was still speaking. That came as he responded to a really loaded question by the German reporter in which he also mocked as Fake News.

560 out of 3650 attacks involved injuries. Ten physical attacks per day seems quite high in a country of Germany’s population size. Were the rest of the attacks physical? Are they counting verbal clashes?

Discussion for callers today. First caller out was an angry black man calling President Trump a liar and denial of our country needing to be made great.
Other callers say he was disrespectful to Merkel. Two callers insinuated that President Trump is mentally unstable.
Most of the week I have noticed people call Pres. Trump 1) Liar 2) Unstable 3) Dangerous 4) Unfit 5) His actions are a shell game.5) When do we have impeachment 6) An embarrassment. Seems to be stacked calls with variations of 1 - 6 stated.
After eight years of Obama, I'd like to know why so many black folks are financially challenged and angry as evidenced by their comments? I'd think there lives would be comfortable and set to survive Pres. Trump.
Actually, 18 0f those 10 attacks were “migrant-on-migrant” violence.

About midway through they have a list of several ‘hate’ incidents...nothing in the list appears to me to be a blatant ‘hate-crime’....they mention buildings catching fire, but give no cause. No vicious beat downs of an old migrant woman by a gang of neo-Nazi skinheads...Then at the end of the article you get a quote from a left-winger (political party is die Linke which is literally ‘the Left’) stating that far right violence is the problem and the government should crack down on anyone opposing unlimited immigration. Looks like they may be getting ready to use a fictional rise in right wing crime to crack down on opposition parties.
