President Donald Trump today released his “America First” budget blueprint which calls for slashing non-defense-related discretionary spending by $54 billion and completely eliminating funding for many independent agencies and federal programs.

Among those that will be completely defunded are the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, the National Endowment for the Arts, the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Overseas Private Investment Corporation.

Maybe they will run programming all the time that appeals to people like me instead of only when they are fund raising. I confess that I have been watching Victoria but I never liked Downton Abbey. These people are better off when their script is already written.

That is the only way to shut these liberals up.

No, it wouldn't.

All we can do is tune them out as prattling brats.

“What judges can force the government to spend money?”

What Judges can set immigration policy?

$500,000,000 I think is the annual budget for PBS. Think about that for a minute.

Nonsequitur. And that hasn’t been established as indefinite precedent besides.

I thought about it for about 30 seconds and concluded that the only purpose of a public broadcast system should be to keep the public informed in the event of emergency. Like flooding. Widespread power outages—EMPs, Invasion. Plagues. That sort of stuff. So that citizens with alternate power source radios can keep up with what’s happening. So all you need is some transmitters, generators, a couple of studios with small staffs and that will take care of it. When nothing’s happening, they can just broadcast music. Something for everyone. I like jazz from the ‘50’s and ‘60’s and that’s most enjoyable to me at night. Country is cool. Classical is good. Rock for a change of pace. Even hop-hip and wrap for the ghettos. Might even set up some micro studios and low power ‘mitters in the slums just to keep them grooving during the emergencies.

“Well Trump has cut back so far that even with some pork refill, he will have still made government smaller and more responsible!”

Correction — the NON-MILITARY gubmint will have made smaller, the overall government will be the same.

NPB and NPR will now fundraise 90% of the time instead of just 80%! This is long overdue. Let the Liberals who “live on these to Commie propagandist networks” be the one’s to pay the whole bill to keep them on the air.

Public Broadcasting, NEA, NEH, OPIC

If this crap was worth anything, it wouldn't need taxpayer dollars to exist.

Keep fulfilling your campaign promises.

Keep winning for us.
