Turkish intelligence chief met with Barzani, discussed PKK’

The head of Turkey’s National Intelligence Organisation Hakan Fidan was in the Kurdistan region of Iraq to meet with the region’s President Masoud Barzani in the city of Duhoq between 14-15 March, according to local news agency Roj News.

The agency, which bases its story on ‘inside sources’, reported that Fidan met with both Masoud Barzani, who is also the leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), and the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government (and Deputy Leader of the KDP) Nechervan Barzani during his visit.

The same sources said that the KDP’s relations with Turkey and a joint plan against the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) were among the points discussed in the meetings.

PKK Commander Cemil Bayik had recently criticised Barzani and his relationship with the Turkish government for “not serving the interests of the Kurdish people,” adding that the clashes in Shingal between Peshmerga forces and the Yazidi Shingla Resistance Units was planned in Barzani’s recent trip to Ankara.

After the meetings, Hakan Fidan visited Peshmerga forces in Shingal and Turkish soldiers based in a camp in the Kurdistan region.

More efforts by Erdogan to derail the progress that is happening in Syria in spite of his unwanted and unproductive presence there.

He still only thinks about Killing Ezidi's and Kurds.

US military yesterday reiterated they do not want so called Roj Pesh forces in the SDF coalition in Syria.

The Roj Pesh were trained and supervised by Erdogan's MIT. They are his surrogates.

I cannot see why Barzani will allow this.

“But I didn’t know until this day, that it was Barzani all along.”

In the late 1990’s I lead a team that provided some equipment and software to the Turkish Army and Turkish Intelligence (MIT). When we went to the Army base they provided us with visitor badges. When we went to the MIT site the first time, we asked about badges, and our host looked me straight in the eye and said, “Badges? Badges? We don’t need not stinkin’ badges!”

Try The John Batchelor Show Mondays during his first hour. He has Tom Joscelyn and Bill Roggio of Long War Journal. They go into the terrorist threat matrix in depth. The Kurdish issues are discussed when something comes up.

Long War Journal is an excellent resource as well.

Here is the daily post by the communist PKK ad agency? America first not PKK first. Don’t care about the Kurds. Care about international law and AMERICA!! Stay out of Syria unless we are invited by the SOVEREIGN nation.

I’m told he is tribal. And his input comes from Kurd power structure in Iraq. I’m not sure how accurate that is. They will kill other Kurds. They appear Islamist. Hope this is wrong analysis.

This is not the first contact with Barzani and MIT. He saw them when he met with Erdogan in Turkey.

The last assault by Roj Peshmerga was not long after that visit.

Yes, I’ve read some of their articles. As well as those on small war journals.

This is the most accurate news source on the Middle East. Not based in Syria, but in Europe.

Do you know anything about the subject?
