Flashback Clinton Says Trump Might Be Avoiding Releasing Taxes To Hide ‘That He’s Paid Nothing’

During the September 26, 2016 presidential debate, Democratic presidential nominee former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton speculated that one reason Donald Trump might not have released his tax returns is that “he doesn’t want the American people, all of you watching tonight, to know that he’s paid nothing in federal taxes.”

 

Clinton said, “So you’ve gotta ask yourself, why won’t he release his tax returns? And I think there may be a couple of reasons. First, maybe he’s not as rich as he says he is. Second, maybe he’s not as charitable as he claims to be. Third, we don’t know all of his business dealings, but we have been told, through investigative reporting that, he owes about $650 million to Wall Street and foreign banks. Or maybe he doesn’t want the American people, all of you watching tonight, to know that he’s paid nothing in federal taxes. Because the only years that anybody has ever seen, were a couple of years where he had to turn them over to state authorities when he was trying to get a casino license. And they showed he didn’t pay any federal income tax.”

If he didn’t have any tax due, it means he spent his income where Congress demanded he spend it in order to have an itemized deduction and beyond.

On other words, he became a slave of Congressional Democratic demands and now they accuse him of following their socialistic public laws as being a lowly individual.

Maybe the Democrats should follow their own laws and see what they become. (poor)

Tax particulars are between IRS and taxed. WTF is the business of knowing who paid what? If there is problem IRS will get on it, do audit, etc.

I watched the opening of the Today show this morning to see how they handled it. The voice over thundered, “The White House defends Trump’s tax return,” as if something about the tax return needed defending.

I will hand it to them, they are excellent liars/propagandists.

I believe Trump is audited every year so suggestions that he did something illegal are ridiculous. What this is for many on the left is the “immorality of the rich” and that is the real irony. Hillary Clinton became filthy rich as a politician and by running a “charity” and global foundation.

She used foundation money and possibly even “charity” monies to pay for her daughters wedding and the media says nothing. They took money given by hardworking Americans to help poor Haitians after a devastating disaster and funneled it to “friends of Bill” who in turn donated large sums back to the foundation. The MSM does not have the slightest curiosity about all of this even has Haitians protests over it? Where are the calls of racism? Where are the champions of the poor?

He was setting them all up even back then by dangling the hook about releasing his returns then saying he had opted not to. He knew someone would illegally obtain some returns and try to make hay in a barren field. Maddow happens to be the first one to step in the cow patty....it seems some splashed all over her face...;-)
