Trump needs to assert himself and find a way to remove Ryan before he scuttles everything.

________________________________

I disagree. Trump has Ryan right where he wants him. Trump is setting Ryan up to take a fall. To take the blame when RyanCare fails to make it out of Congress.

Didn’t Paul Ryan decide to encourage GOP voters to vote for Trump over Hillary less than one week before the election......(his allegiance is not to be trusted)

“I don’t understand why President Trump doesn’t try to get a bi-partisan repeal and replacement bill.”

Maybe you know of a few Democrats that actually think for themselves &are not left wing fanatics?

It sure seems like Ryan takes orders from someone.

I get your point, and maybe that’s part of a plan. But when RyanCare fails Trump will need to restart the whole process again, after an embarrassing misstep. He will lose some political capital as a result, and that could slow down our much needed tax reform legislation. Just my opinion.

When the quarterback is failing the coach replaces him rather than watch the game turn into a defeat.

Ryan only cares about the easy way to go. No govt shutdowns, no principles. Just be bought by the lobbyists and do their bidding. US citizens are last in his order. He just wants do the minimal to keep the money people happy in DC so he can give this job minimal time and be popular in the media and DC cocktail parties.

If they really cared about limited government conservative voters they would have at least voted on full repeal in the House and Senate. Even if it had passed Trump would have vetoed it because he promised better coverage. It would have made Trump look more moderate.

Instead there is not even any lip service for limited government conservatives, or any help for Trump to broaden his appeal. Their only interest is the donor class of insurance companies and pharmaceutical firms. The prior votes for repealing was charades.

Ryan is a fraud. That’s the nicest thing I can say about him.

Obama didn’t control the Fed.

The Fed would act to prevent collapse. That’s what the Fed does. So Obamacare could not just die on its own. The increase rates are in the legislation already tied to the CPI-Medical. The bonds are issued on autopilot. If there are no buyers, the conservative hope, the Fed just buys them.

There is no path to victory doing nothing.

Milwaukee is in his district? I don’t think so.

Is Madison?

Janesville certainly is.

Somewhat right. If this fails, Trump could ask the conservatives to produce a plan that can get 60 votes.

They won’t be able to. The conservatives will then ask for the nuclear option, or at least they’ll start to. Then half of their people will abandon that because they understand the conservative value of a filibuster.

Then, rather than it become clear that they caused the failure of the only hope there could be, they will start accusing various people of being part of a conspiracy to defeat them.

From day 1 this has been the obvious rebuttal. Offer up your own text that can get past the Parliamentarian. Their response was . . . oh we don’t need to do that, we can do it with 50, which of course is the nuclear option of destroying the filibuster.

And that approach will lose the support of about half of Senate conservatives.

So they have nothing. They had nothing from day 1.

One more time.

Obamacare ISN’T GOING TO IMPLODE. It isn’t going to die a natural death.

You don’t seem to understand what Bernanke did. Obamacare funding is in the budget. The Federal Reserve can Quantitative Ease all the money needed to keep it from causing “collapse”, whatever you think collapse means.

This is not a Federal Reserve conspiracy theory. It’s simply what they would do to ensure bonds used to fund the program are indeed bought.

You Have No Path To End Obamacare Via Doing Nothing.

The Fed would not act unless the Pres. ordered it. That’s not its job. It regulates the banks and the money supply, not the healthcare industry. And I don’t know how the Pres. could order it if Congress did not authorize it.

Particularly if Trump is the Pres. Trump would have no desire to print money to bail out Obamacare.

Ryan compromised with Obama and the Dems, but he won’t compromise with conservatives. That speaks volumes.
