Trump Signs Order To Reduce The Size Of the Federal Bureaucracy

President Donald Trump on Monday began a far-reaching reorganization of the federal government.

Trump signed the Comprehensive Plan For Reorganizing The Executive Branch, which he called a “major step towards making the federal government efficient, effective and accountable.”

Trump said the order empowers his Cabinets to revamp their departments.

“We have assembled one of the greatest Cabinets in history and I believe that so strongly,” Trump said. “And we want to empower them to make their agencies as lean and effective as possible and they know how to do it. Today there is duplication and redundancy everywhere. Billions and billions of dollars are being wasted.”

“This order requires a thorough examination of every executive department and agency to see where money is being wasted, how services can be improved and whether programs are truly serving American citizens,” Trump said.

Correct, he has never had a “Government Job” in his life until this election.

I absolutely love it.

He struggles with the following words: peril, abscess, gauge, commitments, status.

Mein Gott!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Picture yourself as a real working man somewhere in flyover country, and this illiterate son of Obama is making 100K per year to analyze correspondence AND HE CANNOT READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If people knew, they would flip the frick out!!!!

“The state will NOT shrink. At best, it will grow more slowly.”

A friend in Florida state government told me that when governor Bush ordered the size of agencies reduced they simply got rid of phony positions they had open requisitions for, nobody was fired. (At least in his agency.) In his agency they “privatized” meaning they had contractors doing the jobs his agency had done. They made the state employees quality control or overseers of the contractors instead of eliminating their jobs. He told me that if he didn’t do his job at all nobody would notice. (He’s not proud of this but he’s hanging on for retirement.)

The way they are reducing head count is by not hiring replacements when the old state employees retire. This is how they handled the typing pool twenty-five years ago when they went to PC’s. He said the typing employees who didn’t get other jobs simply came to work every day, in some cases for years, and read books until they retired. I was at Honeywell at the same time. The typing pool was gone inside of 45 days.

Excellent. While it will undoubetdly not go far enough for some (including myself, for example), it's certainly a good indicator of the President's core intent.

Such a measure is yet another concrete step towards President Trump's promise to help us make America great again!

And what so we hear from the Democrats and Media (but I repeat myself)? Wailing and gnashing of teeth! They're already howling at the top of their lungs. That's almost always a sign that something constructive is getting done—or in this case, something constructively destructive...

Best kept secret in the USA, hundreds of thousands of imbecile GS-13 and 14’s making well over 100K + busy doing NONSENSE, when they bother to show up at all.

Lots of make work schemes and nepotism too.

If Trump could actually get rid of the 70% who don’t DO anything besides collect a paycheck , he could shave a trillion and a half in spending every year easy.

Debt would be reduced to $0 in 12 years.

I'll believe it when I see it.

The gub'ment is exceptionally good at retaining power and keeping their little fiefdoms intact.

Turn him in to the local media. Better still, name names to Breitbart. It will be a hell of a story.

Only God can stop it.

Because govt. employees are union, I'm afraid you are right.

One of the most useful amendments to the Constitution would be to prohibit government unions. As it is, it's govt. employees vs. taxpayers. We always lose.
