How would this not violate the establishment clause of the 1st Amendment?

As I walked around the Mall in October 2015, it all seemed to me to be a pagan temple. I have studied the temple complexes of other cultures. I see no difference. There was little if any acknowledgement of God. It is crowded now with museums of this and that and monuments to this and that. Soon I’m sure there will be a monument to LGBTQDKDKSLSL+. And probably one to Margaret Sanger. Move the offices out. It could be a good way to encourage the civil servants to quit and get real jobs. There is nothing sacred about that ground unless you believe in a secular religion.

As a resident of Maryland but within easy driving distance of DC, I benefit in several ways from the disproportionate wealth of those in the DC region. As a taxpayer and (I hope) a decent person, I don’t allow that personal gain to affect my political views. It is immoral for my region to benefit at the expense of taxpayers nationwide.
Government derives its just powers from the consent of the governed. To the extent that government is acting in its own interests or on behalf of local interests, that consent can and should be withdrawn. It is unethical to enrich ourselves simply because we have the power to do so. [Note: I have enriched myself personally, but that was through voluntary transactions every time. In each such contract, without exception, I delivered far more value on the contract than what I charged for my services. As a pollster, repeat business for my services was almost guaranteed to be requested.]

according to Wiki, Connolly was the last graduating class of Maryknoll College - which was actually a seminary.
So the word “sacred” is probably part of his regualr vocabulary

Perhaps Mr. Connolly can introduce some special ceremonies in his legislation - you know, to help us poor bumpkins appreciate the sacredness of the Federal Guv'mint. Maybe Mr. Connolly can put on some robes and show us how it's done!

Didn't Thomas Jefferson warn against this sort of thing?

Break up the federal agencies and send some of them into the heartland. Thin out the vipers nest of lobbyists. There is just too much in DC relying on Gov. Growth.

Yes, show the People which part of the Constitution mandates a bloated Bureaucracy that defies the role of the individual States and the Rights of the American Citizenry.
