Wouldn’t National Pancake Day make more sense on the Tuesday before Lent begins?

Doesn’t affect me either way. No carbs for me, just bacon and eggs every day.

I prefer Ployes.

Buckwheat pan cakes.

An Acadien French crepe that is used in place of bread or served as a breakfast pancake.

My Memere used to make them for us in the St. John Valley. Northern Aroostok County Maine.

I order the the buckwheat flour mix from Bouchard Farms in Fort Kent Maine.

Wrap the ployes in butter. No syrup.
