WikiLeaks Claims CIA Lost Control of ‘Hacking Arsenal’

In a press release for their most recent data dump, whistleblowing service WikiLeaks claims that the CIA has lost control of their “hacking arsenal.” The press release states that WikiLeaks’ publication of CIA documents is the “largest ever publication of confidential documents on the agency.” The data dump consists of 8,761 files and documents taken from a high-security isolated network situated inside the CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia.

Explosively, WikiLeaks also claims that the CIA has lost control of their “hacking arsenal.”

Recently, the CIA lost control of the majority of its hacking arsenal including malware, viruses, trojans, weaponized “zero day” exploits, malware remote control systems and associated documentation. This extraordinary collection, which amounts to more than several hundred million lines of code, gives its possessor the entire hacking capacity of the CIA. The archive appears to have been circulated among former U.S. government hackers and contractors in an unauthorized manner, one of whom has provided WikiLeaks with portions of the archive.

WikiLeaks states that their data dump contains information outlining the CIA’s global hacking program, the large collection of malware utilized by the agency, and their “zero day” weaponized exploits which could be used to hack Apple’s iPhone, Google’s Android, and Microsoft Windows and even Samsung TVs, which could be turned into covert microphones.

This is stunning news. The CIA must be held accountable for their gross incompetence.

Because of the incredibly gross incompetence within the CIA, every single American is now at a greatly increased risk of being hacked and having their identity stolen or much worse...

Tucker Carlson grilled some a-hole Senator from CT last night about the oversight committee not having any oversight.
Point was they sit back and allow these orgs to self police which is why Flyn and DJT was hacked, tapped eas-droped on or whatever you want to call it.

Incompetence or treason?

Trump needs to get control of these agencies and get rid of the bad people quickly.

Lost control of it or invited someone in to take whatever they pleased? I say the latter.

This wreaks of plausible deniability... as massive hacks come in time for the next election cycle...

Trump needs to tear it down, all of it. Clearly they have gone rogue!

It is interesting that Wikileaks calls it Vault 7 year 0. 7 is the number of completion and 0 is start over with nothing.

Incompetent...dunno

Certainly, there is a corporate agenda.

Sure wish someone that has my trust had control of the agency. :(

Looks like, under Obama, our intelligence communities have morphed into Soviet style secret police, doing the bidding of the dictator in office.

This is gross incompetence by the CIA. What’s next; we find out they used the password “password” to protect their servers?

I don’t think its incompetence, more likely traitorous.

I’m getting a picture of Aldrich Ames parking his brand new sports car in his assigned spot at CIA headquarters every day and no one asking where he got the money to buy it.

The CIA has caused the very damage it was designed to prevent.

Yeah. First thing I thought was was it an accident or was it intentional loss of control.

That interview was unbelievable! A stupid, self-satisfied, smug CT nobody thought he could win that debate with Tucker.
